tech death is my favorite genre, so I finally made a topster (1 album per band and not in any order) This was incredibly fun since it made me revisit many records I hadn’t touched in a while. Might do a melodeath or bdm one next

I know it’s a long shot but hoping Kafe make it to World Finals (nenwhy and xten WILL beat Zeta.) Also the EMEA bracket looks funny asf 😭 nice change of pace though, hoping Peps win

wtf is this production, why is there a “turning the frogs gay” sample in the third track. How does a group of such insanely talented musicians put out a record that sounds like it was made my a middle schooler in FL Studio. Genuinely what happened to this band 😭

#fl finally getting around to Polyphia’s BE NOT AFRAID (and I am very afraid), because I am an ethical hater and want to know what it is I’m actually hating on

NATIONAL BEST CAT DAY

Listening to Under the Sign of the Black Mark by Bathory. Idc how “basic” it is, I don’t trust your taste in black metal if you don’t like Bathory tbh

Listening to The Incantus by The Incantus. Doomed melodeath from Australia with punk-ish influences and some atmospheric passages. The cover is a pretty accurate depiction of the music. Pretty good album

if u see this on your tl, do it name: kyreth (online name obv) pronouns: he/him height: 6’3” sexuality: bi zodiac sign: virgo smoke: no piercing: 1 total tattoos: 0 (but want to get 2 soon) fav color: pink fav food: risotto fav animal: cat/snow leopard

Listening to Vineland Trio II: Constellations/Starscapes. This one is a bit more experimental, I feel like, but just as good or maybe even slightly better than the first. Both are great tbh

if you don’t think dark chocolate is the best chocolate I don’t trust you as an individual

can we get this guy on the OW balance team 🙏

Listening to A Caress of Autumn for all the Lost by Marea, the solo project from Italy of Matteo Balzarini. Released earlier this month. Gorgeous atmoblack with doom influences, super emotional and absolutely beautiful, yet another aoty contender (also phenomenal cover art)

bro how many CEO accounts are we gonna get 😭

Twilight is the only correct answer here btw (maybe RD)

Listening to Vineland Trio I: Origins, by Vineland Trio, @mystsl ‘s jazz fusion band. Great record, I really did enjoy it everyone go listen to it right meow

most people seem to be getting tired of Overwatch, and for most it doesn’t even seem to be burnout. I blame it on the “quantity over quality” approach that they’ve taken from the start of this year tbh

look at the credits of your favorite metal albums from the 90s onwards and there’s a good chance Swanö was involved in some way. The man produces, sings, growls, plays every instrument and is phenomenal in everything he does. GOAT of metal

Listening to Furioso by PAVOR. Progressive tech death with prominent, melodic basslines and somewhat dissonant riffs, the solos are pretty good. Great record, albeit probably sounds like just wankery to non-tech death listeners tbh

playing Anran for the first time in MONTHS, and despite the flaws in her kit I can definitely see why so many people like her, she is quite fun tbh

Listening to Sounds of a Playground Fading by In Flames. I know this isn’t a popular opinion but this is definitely my favorite post-Clayman album by them, it has such a nostalgic feeling for me
