Mostly would love to hear from anyone who has experience w breath control during sleep. Or I guess I'll know the deal in a week. For what it's worth, I feel good and well rested today!

Curious if anyone in tpot has had experience w (continual awareness thru sleep) and also sleep apnea? New development for me - I'm maintaining awareness of breath, up to concious control of breath thru sleep, and not sure if this is gonna fix my apnea or fuck me up. ⬇️

Last night, thru dreamless and dreaming sleep, I stayed w the body and noticed often that I wasn't breathing - sometimes felt like the whole body was dark and dim, like a shut-down conference room. Then pulled concious breath and each time flushed the body with green light

It felt good, good to have the green light and know I wasn't suffocating. But also, I'm worried if I'll intervene too much and disrupt my sleep, and like won't enter low-breathing states that I'm naturally supposed to enter?

It's funny the amount of energy I put into asking people on first dates and swipin, when literally every single serious relationship I've ever had has been friends-to-lovers.

I love meeting friends siblings, it is like unlocking a hidden piece of their personality. Ahhhh I see.. You are like THIS because she is like THAT.

What is this extremely mysterious neuron that set mechinterp going on a dead end for the last 3 years? It's literally </\> kiki ? or bouba o0o
interpretability might be the most important scientific problem in the world right now, as I don't think we can solve alignment if we don't know what we're building. I think I have good news about it. I co-authored early work in mechanistic interpretability at OpenAI and came away pessimistic, because neural networks appeared to fold into arbitrary tangled knots. years later, I started openai's first large-scale automated interpretability project, finding about 2% of neurons legible with the primitive tools we had with modern agentic tools and a much closer look, the picture looks totally different. the vast majority in models up to trillions of parameters are legible, and their circuits beautiful. many famous examples of tangled neurons turned out to be misunderstood. The roadblocks I expected mostly aren't there. I now think ambitious interpretability will be solved by the time we need it most, and possibly quite soon, as automated scientists keep improving. it may be a bitter lesson for interpretability: the simple thing, at absurd scale, works already-clean.goodfire.com/

And for software developer - If you already had people hand-typing software, then it was useful to your business to pay X$ for Y amount of software in 2025, and devs in 2027 are 10x-100x more productive - arguably you could hire more! Unless your software needs are very small

I think shit is going to be crazy, massive disruption waves in every industry, entire economy being remade, but I don't think we are going home at the end

More future-looking... fully AI native businesses with robotics could come with different business models (Personal agent purchases, robo-factory manufactures and direct ships to consumers) but direct-ship stuff already exists

Disbelieving the 'jobpocolypse': Imagine a clinic - who could you replace? The frontdesk person could already be replaced by booking software, yet they persist as admin / doorman fallacy. The doctor is needed, the lab technician is needed, the nurse is needed. Can't fire anyone

All of those jobs could be supplemented with AI (Better diagnoses, suggested tests, automated 2nd opinions, agent-facilitated logistics), making it run smoother and better... but I don't think anyone goes home.

Noticing a trend in vibecoding, it seems extremely fast to make something that already exists (Put minecraft in this other game)... but making something genuinely new isn't fast - because the iterative process of discovering what works about the new thing is not sped up.

I've been making a video game and within the first hour I had a playable game similar to an existing one, but the next 10 hours are 'playing the game and making tiny tweeks' as I find out what is fun and explore new design space

I feel a very strange sense of being more powerful than I've ever been, while also being strangely paralyzed. (Generally about AI)
