Even though we have satellites flying in space today, Loft does not have a satellite operations team. Instead, we have SatDevOps, a software-centric approach to satellite operations at scale. π°οΈπ§΅

Shoutout to @750words for helping me establish a writing discipline π most of the time I journal, but two days ago, I wrote and submitted a #shortstory from my 750words session. I also love that it extracts sentiment. New favorite writing resource!

Sun down on
The day, on
The familiar, on
The toil
Winged friends consume
The bugs, the last of the light
I fade into the gray
Of the night
#poetry #poetrycommunity #poetsofTwitter
Indigo clouds on
A muted horizon
A conscious choice to not
Turn around
And Iβm better for it
Had I not showed up
To run those trails
Then mind and body
Would not have been
Cleansed

How long does it take Capella to go from launch to first light? 4 days, 23 hrs and 10 mins! Weβre excited to share recent images from our #SAR satellites fully commissioned in low-Earth orbit. The Eye of the Sahara, or Richat Structure, a circular geological feature in Africa.

And now...(drumroll)...the fully deployed reflector! This 3.5 m diameter structure made from knitted material is the eyes and lens of the radar and allows the satellite to capture images of whatβs happening on Earth. πππ°οΈ #SAR #Satellite #StrongerTogether #Earth
Congrats to the whole team!
A #selfie from space with a view! First phase of satellite ops underway on our newly launched satellites. Boom deployment complete. This 3m arm is the length of a minivan and sets the stage for reflector deployment. More to come! #SAR #Satellite #Space #Earth
