Cruelty to cats is not only heinous in and of itself, it is also an indicator of potential violence toward people.
That's why Alley Cat Allies fights for justice and for stronger anti-cruelty laws across the country and beyond. When acts of cruelty are prosecuted to the fullest extent of strong laws, it sends a powerful message that abuse will not be tolerated, helps prevent future violence, and saves lives.

'Tis the season for splooting squirrels (Squirrels sploot to help regulate their body temperature during hot weather.) A reminder to, if you can, leave a small bowl of fresh water outside for wildlife to drink from during the summer. πΏοΈπ¦ββ¬
There's less than one week left to Squirrel Awareness Month, so here's Zippy with a friendly reminder to respect our neighborhood wildlife (and maybe even leave out a bowl of fresh water and the occasional unsalted nut). πΏοΈβ€οΈ

Remembering Elsa Lanchester, born October 28, 1902!
Over 95 film and TV roles including Witness for the Prosecution, Bell Book and Candle, The Glass Slipper, Mary Poppins, The Bishop's Wife, Lassie Come Home, That Darn Cat! β and of course, Bride of Frankenstein!
Did You Know? To play the Bride of Frankenstein, Lanchester reportedly wore stilts to appear seven feet tall, while her bandages were wrapped so tightly that she could barely move! She even had to be fed by her dresser because her fingers were wrapped, too!
