My new portfolio website has been in the making since August 2020. Created ~20 new Figma files, tried couple of different frameworks, had almost everything ready but didn't ship. Now it took me 10minutes in @framer to design & publish.

This! I don't see how better can you evaluate someone with take home assignment than during interviews / case studies. I don't know how to stop this vicious cycle, but what surprises me that even really cool companies that have strong design leadership do this nonsense.

I've already dropped out of interview process because of that, even if I liked the company I just don't agree with this kind of process and don't want to be judged on something I put in together in 2-10 hours without any context.
