Dancehall superstar Squash has officially been released from the federal prison in FCI Oakdale, Louisiana, after spending a sentence of 11 months. The artist had previously pleaded guilty to being an undocumented/alien individual in possession of a firearm following a February 2025 traffic stop in Miami. Though he was originally handed a 27-month sentence, multiple sentence reductions earned through federal credits under the First Step Act shaved his active prison time down to less than a year. Squash is now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He faces an active immigration detainer and potential deportation proceedings.
