So with Stephen Miller, Trump has officially moved into the Bunker Stage of his Reich

I spent two years working with Stephen Miller. His appointment as White House chief of staff is among the most dangerous personnel decisions in the history of our republic. I say that without reservation.

Oh yeah, Tuesday was the beginning of the end for the massive voucher grift in North Carolina.
I hope the 104,000 families receiving Opportunity Scholarships are paying attention. #ncpol

This might be the craziest election stat I've seen. Roy Cooper in North Carolina won his U.S. Senate seat before a ballot was cast Tuesday. His early vote total was more than everything Michael Whatley got.

I’m biased as he is my member of Congress but I’d like to see @jamie_raskin as Speaker of the House.

In an NBC News poll last week, Hakeem Jeffries had an approval rating of 18%, and Chuck Schumer's was 13%. It's wild seeing them both act like they have mandates to lead the party going forward.

For those who say it’s time for universal care. I am all for it. It would be nice if we could find a way to reduce the cost of care and make it available to everyone, for anything. But it will take work to get there. Other countries with Universal Care make β€œMost Things available to All People”. It’s not perfect. In our country, we make β€œEverything available to Most People”. The question for this country, unlike others, is how we can make the best possible care and therapies, regardless of cost, to everyone ? Read @AbdulElSayed β€˜s book on Medicare for All. He wisely had more questions than answers. Medicare for All ? Global Budgets ? Or something else ? It’s a difficult path from where we are to β€œE4E” Healthcare. ?Everything for Everyone) My hope is that we can put together a Simpson Bowles type, Blue Ribbon Commission. One that includes representatives of all stakeholders. From all different type of patients. Including rare disease parents. Rural and Urban Hospitals. The most expensive hospitals that offer unique care. Pharma companies that offer everything from genetics to Cell and Gene Therapies. You get the point Some people think we can just tell all those working in the healthcare system what to do. That’s the fastest way for this to fail. We need to be as close as we can to being on the same page. And we need to figure out a non partisan manner of running our American version of Universal Care. No reason we can’t start now

Hard to watch Americans elect authentic, uncompromised, charismatic younger Dems all over the country… and then have @SenSchumer & @RepJeffries immediately step out as the front men β€” who are really none of those things.

Being born a white guy also counts for quite a bit, too, NGL.
Multiple roommates. Ramen noodles. Near public transportation. Respect to the people who do whatever it takes. I worked as a bartender. Bar-back. $2.15 an hr plus whatever tips got shared. Worked at a retail store. Never had benefits at any job. Had 5 roommates in a 3 br apt. Ate lousy food out of cans and ate a ton of peanuts and shit food at happy hour. Had credit cards ripped up. Etc. But I learned a ton. Taught me what was right and wrong about running a business by watching my bosses and their bosses Yeah I know. It was much easier then, when inflation was 15 pct and national unemployment was 10 %. I know I was fortunate when I finally got fired from the store, and had to start my own business with zero cash. Bill collectors everywhere. Even luckier when I found my first customer so I could pay my bills But I recognize it’s so much harder today. Which is why I respect the people who are willing to do what it takes to get started

I swear to god, every electoral race in America right now is between a qualified candidate, and someone who wants to make it illegal for women to read.
