In Bloomington, we have bumper sticker theology. In Indy, there's trash can politics. Saw this on my morning walk.
We were on the road so didn't get to watch the game. We tracked it closely. The extended Shondells are former parishioners, so I had an extra emotional stake here. B1G win, Hoosiers!

The #UMC has many faults, but I'm proud of our history with labor movements. Perhaps that liberation can carry us to others, too. #LaborDayWeekend2023
I read the Handmaid's Tale long ago, but I couldn't watch the show because it was too real for our times. I hate raising a daughter here. 😥

Abolish the #deathpenalty.
Ghana just became the 124th country in the world to abolish the death penalty!!! Ghana is the 29th country in Africa to abolish. There are now 170 countries that have banned the death penalty in law or in practice. The US is one of only a handful of countries still executing people. We are usually one of the top 5 and always one of the top 10 countries with the most executions. It is time for the US to join the rest of the world in abolishing the death penalty, once and for all.
