Here, right matters. Sheldon Wolin wrote some brilliant stuff. Classic Rock = 1965-1982ish. Disco never sucked.

The speed with which America, this beacon of democracy grounded in the rule of law, is going to turn into a kleptocracy of self-dealing, con artistry, and banana republic level corruption is going to blow your mind.
A lesson from the TikTok Affair should be that bipartisan efforts to preserve U.S. national security are vulnerable to the incoming president getting bought off and switching sides for his own personal and political benefit. Not great!

Did Trump just admit that Elon stole the election for him?
Trump: He was very effective. He knows those computers better than anybody. Those vote counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide. It was pretty good. Thank you to Elon

So y'all gave him $300,000,000 for a party you can't come to, then gave him $70,000,000,000 for a coin you can't spend, because a carton of eggs cost $1 more than it used to. Y'all are fucking idiots.

TikTok thanks Trump. People who fall for propaganda celebrate. 100% a psyop.

A majority of Republicans voted for the TikTok ban, rightly calling it a propaganda tool of the CCP. Yet none of them dare criticize their dear leader when he saves the app. It’s a cult.

Eloquently put but it would have been better if questions had been asked about the anomalies in the election, about the fact that Russia admits they interfered, that Iran has been found to have tampered and that Musk waved a magic wand ..... and nobody did a thing.
Emotions are running riot at the moment. It’s OK to feel angry, it’s OK to feel a sense of despair. In the months ahead, we are going to see Project 2025 come to life and it will be every bit as bad as we predicted. America made its decision and with that comes a ruler not a president. We are already seeing the introduction of tip lines to report anyone SUSPECTED of being undocumented. The raids will begin in Chicago. This is just one measure in the shock and awe tactics Trump will deploy. We are about to march back in time to when a woman’s duty was to have babies and be chained to the kitchen. To a time when homosexuality was a crime. A time when to be anything other than a white Christian made you a second class citizen. No amount of thoughts and prayers will be enough to rescue America from the pain ahead. So it’s time to dig deep and resist like your life depends on it, because it does.

It is impossible to overstate just how beyond the pale fucked up this is.
American users opening TikTok are being greeted with a message crediting Donald Trump for restoring the app: “Thank you for your patience and support. As a result of President Trump’s efforts, TikTok is back in the U.S!”

Trump hanging his supporters in DC out to dry in favor of an exclusive inauguration where only his inner circle and top donors can attend is the perfect metaphor for this administration and today’s GOP.

For the life of me, I will never understand why we didn’t do some recounts or investigate the anomalies that people reported after casting their votes. It just feels like we rolled over and let the bad guys cheat.

Trump was not elected because of some smart policy agenda or expertise. He is a cultural artifact, not an economic one. Americans wanted their politics to be WWE—and that’s what they’ll get. Nobody understands this better than Trump. It has nothing to do with the price of eggs.
Most Americans doubt President-elect Donald Trump will be able to bring down costs of food, housing, and health care. cbsn.ws/3PDpUJb

Mainstream media absolutely FAILED to cover the accomplishments that many of us promoted on social media. They decided, early on, to ignore positives and talk about Biden's age, inflation, and not much else. They helped put Trump back in the White House.

Biden was a complete and total boner killer for the media. Boring, competent governance was great for us, lousy for their bottom line, so they pummeled him with an avalanche of YOU'RE TOO OLD coverage combined w/obsessive INFLATION IS AWFUL stories to get sugar daddy Trump back
President Biden signaled in his farewell address that "history's going to be kinder to him" than his current approval rating as he leaves office, @edokeefe says.

I love her, but if @maddow was going to return to 5 days/week for 100 days, she should have done it during the election.

"Trump will do two things. He will start his presidency with 'shock and awe' immigration actions ...in blue cities in blue states... and then take credit for the fact that the numbers (on the southern border) are already low." It's all performative. @cnn

Biden tonight: "Americans are being buried under an avalanche of misinformation and disinformation, enabling the abuse of power. The free press is crumbling, editors are disappearing," and "social media is giving up on fact checking."
