Explain to me the AIPAC/Mr. Stevens endgame here? If Rogers wins and is god forbid the 49/50th vote for ICE camps & who knows what else they will be blamed! It will reduce their power in the Dem party even more. If Abdul wins anyway (which I expect) then they reveal themselves to be whining losers w no influence. It’s just one big temper tantrum that is serving to undermine their stated goals. Crazy.

Haley Stevens had lunch with a NYT reporter while her husband was on TMZ bashing Abdul El-Sayed. He asked if she wanted him to win, and she said:
"I think he's going to win."
The reporter asked again and she said, "I don’t know why you’d ask me that."
Pressed again, she said: "I ran for a Democratic nomination, intent in understanding that I wanted a Democrat to win," she said. "We sat down for a long period of time, Abdul and I did, in the first quarter of '25, before we both decided to run, making that commitment to each other, so of course."
Centrist Democrats have always been reluctant to support leftist Dems who win primaries, but Stevens' rage at El-Sayed has meant she can't really conceal her desire that he lose as well as most. Story by @reidepstein
