these two sycamores are a great example of retrenchment. this is where a tree, past its youthful prime, shrinks into a smaller tree by developing its lower crown and shutting down its upper crown. this is often the beginning of the veteran phase of a tree's life cycle

I hope I can speak for everyone I work with but the questions and horror on everyone's minds here is real. Can you please for once just tell us the truth is this transition peaceful or was the last 20 years in Afghanistan all the fighting the dying on both sides for nothing?
