Somewhere in Democratic Party headquarters, the champagne is flowing and a roomful of insufferable jackasses is congratulating itself on America's overwhelming demand for more DEI mandates, political prosecutions, ideological indoctrination, and lectures about how ordinary Americans are too fucking stupid to understand their own interests. Because that's apparently what the Republican midterm shellacking means to these geniuses. Americans are getting financially strangled by groceries, gasoline, and housing costs. Republican leadership squandered its mandate, delivered legislative paralysis, and gave frustrated voters every reason to tell Washington to go fuck itself. Yet Democrats are poised to interpret that spectacular GOP failure as a glorious cultural awakening. Imagine the breathtaking stupidity required to mistake a furious electorate for an enthusiastic audience at a progressive reeducation seminar. People can't afford a house? Excellent! Perhaps another mandatory diversity workshop will help. Groceries eating half the paycheck? Sounds like an opportunity to investigate Trump again. Gas prices making Americans miserable? Quick, somebody explain their unconscious biases while the pump keeps running! And if Democrats regain congressional power and spend the next two years resurrecting every exhausted ideological crusade, they'll accomplish something Republicans have struggled desperately to do: remind Americans exactly what they despised about the progressive political machine. The sheer arrogance is almost magnificent. A party handed an electoral opportunity by Republican incompetence could convince itself that America has authorized a full-scale restoration of the cultural bullshit voters have spent years rejecting. That's how political victories become political catastrophes. Winning breeds arrogance, arrogance breeds overreach, and overreach eventually sends the bill to the people responsible. Democrats should enjoy the champagne. Because when you grab a political pendulum already swinging against you and shove the bastard even farther, don't act surprised when it comes roaring back like a goddamn wrecking ball. This morning I wrote that last night might be the best thing that could have happened to us. Let me show you why, step by step. A + B. A. The left now has power without the presidency. That's the worst position in politics: enough power to act, not enough to govern, and no one else to blame. So it will do what it always does when it wins. Go all in. More debt, more spending, more regulation, more ideology in every institution it touches. Fewer reactors, fewer factories, fewer things built. And for two years, every voter in America gets a front-row seat. People can ignore an ideology in theory. They can't ignore it when it shows up in their bills, their streets and their kids' schools. B. Meanwhile, the right gets to stop being a protest and start being an answer. Two words: robotics and order. Robots, AI and cheap energy that make everything radically abundant. And order that makes it safe to build: safe streets, secure borders, laws that apply to everyone. The left promises to share scarcity. We can offer to end it. A + B = 2028. Not a narrow win. A clean one. And this time, full power must mean building a techno-republic. Three foundations. Elections where fraud is impossible by design. Not because we accuse anyone. Because in 2028 no one should have to trust. Every vote verifiable, every count auditable by any citizen, cryptographically, in real time. A democracy where the result is a proof, not a promise. A Nuremberg of communism. Nazism was judged. Communism never was. Close to 100 million dead, and the ideology still gets taught in our universities as a nice idea that was badly applied. We need the moral and historical reckoning that never happened. Every crime documented, every victim named, taught in every school. You don't get to come back with the same ideas after a body count like that. Direct ownership of abundance. When robots and AI produce the wealth, the question is who owns it. The left's answer will be a public fund, managed by the state, distributed by bureaucrats. That's how you build a new nomenklatura. Our answer: every citizen owns their share directly, in their own name. Not a check from the government. Property. And don't forget what Elon said: by 2036, money may stop mattering. Mass and energy will take the place of dollars. Think about what that means. You can print dollars. You can't print energy. The day value is measured in mass and energy, the hand on the printing press is gone. No more silent tax through inflation. No more financing the state by quietly diluting everyone's savings. The most powerful lever any government ever had disappears by the laws of physics. That's the real endgame. Communism was always a theory about how to divide a pie. When the pie becomes infinite, it has nothing left to say. So let them have this round. Let them show the country who they are. We'll be busy building what comes after.
What if last night was the best thing that could have happened to us? I know how that sounds. Democrats just took the House and the Senate. Texas went blue. Everyone on our side is depressed this morning. But step back and look at the longer game, because I think we might be living through the beginning of a renaissance. History has a pattern. When a party wins big, it confuses a protest vote with a mandate. And that's exactly where it starts making mistakes. 1994: Republicans sweep Congress. They overplay their hand, shut down the government, and hand Clinton a comfortable reelection two years later. 1998: they push impeachment against public opinion and lose seats in a midterm they should have won. Victory breeds arrogance. Arrogance breeds overreach. Overreach breeds backlash. Now look at what Democrats are walking into. They control Congress, but not the White House. They can't really govern. They can block, investigate, subpoena, and posture. For two years, their entire identity will be opposition. Endless hearings. Impeachment fantasies. Shutdown brinkmanship. Purity tests from their activist wing, emboldened by a win they'll believe was ideological when it was mostly a midterm reflex. And every one of those moves will be on full display, in front of voters who just gave them a chance and will expect results. That's the setup for 2028. Not a narrow win. A clean one. White House, House, Senate. Full power, with a clear mandate and two years of Democratic overreach as the backdrop. And this time, full power has to mean something different. Not just holding office. Building. What I believe we need is a techno-republic. A state that runs like the best companies do: fast, measurable, accountable. Where public services are rebuilt from first principles with the best technology available. Where talent and merit matter more than credentials and connections. Where we stop managing decline and start building again: energy, industry, infrastructure, AI, space. Because the stakes are civilizational. The West has spent decades losing confidence in itself. Its institutions hollowed out, its elites ashamed of its own history, its universities captured by an alliance between the radical left and political Islamism that sees Western values as something to dismantle rather than defend. Free speech, secularism, equality before the law, the idea that a civilization has the right to exist and to defend itself. None of that survives on autopilot. A techno-republic is how we rebuild that foundation. Not through nostalgia, but through competence. Prove that a free, confident, technologically ambitious West works better than any alternative, and the debate is over. So yes, last night hurt. But maybe this is the detour that gets us there faster. Let them win this round. Let them show the country who they really are. And be ready. The renaissance won't come from comfort. It'll come from the moment we stopped being comfortable.

After DOGE, Elon came to a conclusion most people missed. He tried to reform the state from the inside. He failed. And he said it plainly: the government can't fix its own deficit. Nobody in power actually wants to cut. The machine protects itself. So he drew the only logical conclusion. If the state can't be reformed, there are only two ways this ends. Either global bankruptcy. Debt keeps compounding, interest payments eat the budget, and the system collapses under its own weight. Or robots. AI and robotics grow the economy so fast that the debt becomes manageable, and abundance makes the old fights over scarcity irrelevant. Here's the part almost nobody sees. For two centuries, capitalism has had a marketing problem. Its gains are real but slow and invisible. 2% growth a year doesn't feel like anything. Your life gets better over 30 years and you never connect it to the system that did it. Meanwhile, the left's promises feel immediate and concrete: a check, a subsidy, a benefit. That's why the left wins on promises even when it can't deliver them. Capitalism produces the wealth, socialism takes the credit. Robots break that asymmetry. When productivity doubles in a few years instead of a few decades, people will see it. Things get cheaper, services get better, opportunities appear, in real time. For the first time in history, people will connect capitalism and their rising standard of living directly, almost instantly. The causal chain becomes visible. And that changes everything politically. So there are two scenarios. Scenario one: we stay in the current inertia. No breakthrough, or a breakthrough we regulate to death. The debt wins. Living standards stagnate, then fall. A frustrated electorate turns to whoever promises the most, and that pushes toward a hard collectivist left. But collectivism fails, as it always does. And when it fails, the most organized, most disciplined collectivist force left standing isn't the old left. It's radical Islamism. Bankruptcy, then communism, then something worse. Scenario two: robots win. Abundance arrives, and it arrives visibly. The link between free enterprise and prosperity becomes obvious to everyone. And this is the key point: it becomes obvious to everyone, including the minorities the left was counting on. Because their long-term incentive is the same as everyone else's. A kid in the suburbs gains infinitely more from a booming, abundant West than from a bankrupt state handing out promises it can't keep. Abundance is the most powerful integration machine ever built. That's the Western renaissance. The West doesn't need to win the culture war by arguing. It needs to win it by delivering. And for the first time, it has the technology to deliver fast enough for people to notice. The race isn't left vs right anymore. It's robots vs bankruptcy.

I wanted to say that Florida is a truly awful place to live. Do NOT move here because you don’t like whomever got elected in your state. We have ginormous bugs like you’ve never seen in your life. They all bite and sting and it hurts. And they’re out ALL year. We have hurricanes, tropical storms, and tornadoes from April to November. Alligators pop out of your toilet. Coyotes run around wild. The humidity is brutal from February to December. Then it suddenly gets cold for a month but buildings aren’t properly insulated so you freeze. Housing costs, electricity, food are all super high. Wages are super low. Traffic is insane. There are long waits for doctors and dentists. No one speaks English. Literally the only good thing are the sunsets. It’s not worth moving here for a pretty sunset. Did I miss anything?

🇺🇸 I'm going to say something that won't be popular with many of you, but it needs to be said. Most Republicans in Congress, the Senate, and this administration have refused to confront what I believe is one of the most serious threats to America's future, the growing political influence of Islamism and the failure to recognize its long-term ambitions. Too many Americans remain unaware of the difference between religious freedom and political Islamism. Islamist movements seek to use political power to advance an ideology that is fundamentally at odds with many of the freedoms and principles upon which America was founded. Tonight, we may witness the consequences of that failure. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and Islamist political activists are working together, and their political organizing demonstrates what relentless determination, discipline, and voter mobilization can accomplish. They work around the clock, build coalitions, organize communities, and make sure their supporters show up at the polls. Meanwhile, where were the Republicans in Congress? Where was the administration? Instead of helping confront the growing political influence of Islamism, the woke right has been focused on building its own political movement and pushing for a separate party. At a time when political unity and organization matter more than ever, their efforts have only contributed to further division. The Republicans failed to act. The administration failed to take the threat seriously. And the woke right was no help whatsoever. With the exception of President Trump, who has raised the issue on several occasions, far too few in the administration have been willing to confront it directly. Look at what is happening across parts of Europe, where debates over Islamist, integration, immigration, and national identity have become increasingly urgent. America cannot afford to ignore those warnings. A free nation does not lose its identity overnight. It happens when its citizens become complacent, its leaders refuse to confront difficult realities, and organized political movements face little effective opposition. Many Republicans didn't even bother to vote. (Fact) America is not immune to the challenges facing Europe. Believing that it could never happen here is exactly the kind of complacency that puts our future at risk. If tonight's election results deliver a political earthquake, don't pretend there were no warning signs. The warning signs were there. The organization was there. The determination was there. What was missing was the political courage to respond. America is worth defending. Our Constitution is worth defending. Our freedoms are worth defending. And if we refuse to defend them through the ballot box, we should not be surprised when others determine the direction of our country. THE FUTURE OF THIS NATION IS NOT GUARANTEED. 🇺🇸‼️

The US has no idea the world of hurt that it has ushered. It is truly soul-crushing to see some of the outcomes. My reaction is not based on partisan politics but rather a deep love and reverence for the US. Regrettably, American Exceptionalism is increasingly disappearing. I will continue fighting in the battle of ideas but I fear that this might be a fatal inflection point. May the America of the Founding Fathers eventually prevail.

In the hours after the midterms, it is worth saying this plainly: Elon Musk is about to be hit with a fresh wave of concentrated hostility, and the rest of us who value what he is actually building should not pretend otherwise. A man who was once treated as a progressive technological hero with electric cars, reusable rockets, and an open internet - has become, in the eyes of much of the left, an apostate. He bought Twitter and refused to keep the old speech rules. He ran DOGE and cut programs the left considered sacred. He warned, repeatedly and without euphemism, that demographic and institutional trends could lock in one party control. He put his own money behind the other side. For that, the hatred is now open and concentrated. Starship is still the only credible path to making life multiplanetary. Starlink still connects people the old infrastructure never reached. Tesla still forced the entire auto industry to confront electric vehicles. Neuralink and xAI are still early attempts at expanding what a human mind and an artificial one can do together. The people who want to punish the man for his politics have not offered a substitute for the work. They have only offered the punishment. Standing by him requires noticing the pattern. The same voices that once celebrated the green-car pioneer now treat the multiplanetary goal as a distraction or a vanity. The same institutions that spent years demanding more regulation of speech on private platforms now treat an open platform as the greater danger. The consistency is not in the principles; it is in the target. When a single person both builds the hardware of the future and refuses to stay inside the approved narrative, the response is not engagement. It is a campaign to make the cost of that refusal higher than the benefit of continuing. The simple fact is that no one else is currently doing the combination of things Elon Musk is doing at the same scale, and probably never will. When the response is punishment instead of alternatives, the work that actually expands the frontier slows or stops. I support Elon because the work matters more than the noise, and he is one of the few people who seems to genuinely want humanity to have a future. ♥️

Dear Mr. @POTUS The battle of 2026 may have ended in “bloodshed” but the war for the soul of America continues. You sir, still have the responsibility to ensure the preservation and protection of our constitution. Below are some ideas as you awaken and examine the aftermath of yesterday’s massacre (there is no other way to describe it). Overcoming failure in battle requires accepting responsibility, analyzing the root cause(s), and shifting one’s focus from the setback itself to your next immediate response. In the U.S. military we use to follow a disciplined “lessons learned” process. We called it the AAR (After Action Review). The AAR is designed to make us better. Take it to heart. The AAR, if done correctly is an honest, if not brutal, assessment of what happened, how did it happen, and what can be done to fix it in the future. First, we must understand the following strategies to overcome defeat: 1. Acknowledge and Own the Failure: Stop shifting blame or masking the reality of what happened; digest the failure directly so you can use it as fuel to move out smartly into the future. 2. Change the Formula: Failure with a proper response can return to success. Understand that the initial loss is not what defines you. Your immediate reaction and adjustments will. Essentially, it’s not that bad things happen to people, businesses, military formations, or even nations; they always do. That is not how you will be defined. How you will be defined is what you do to overcome those bad things. 3. Deconstruct the Root Causes: Evaluate factors like preparation, promises made & not kept, leadership (your own and those in your inner circle), and tactical (on the ground) execution and strategic decision making at the highest levels of your team to include your own. Now is NOT the time to sit and self-loathe nor cry in your corn flakes. Instead of allowing yourself to spiral into a selfish woe is me curled up fetal position, as an American president, you must awaken yourself to awaken the nation. Now is the time for great leadership to arise. Do you have it in you? 4. Rely on Your Team (but understand this same core team may be part of the problem): It may be high time to lean on others; your peers, outside supporters, former adversaries, a group of advisors who only want America to succeed (if America succeeds, you succeed). These things need to be said. Most of all, humble yourself quietly before God and pray. Many other great U.S. presidents who faced failure in our storied past did and it seemed to work for them. Find an inner strength and hold yourself accountable first and then you can hold others accountable. 5. Set a Clear Next Objective: Break your path forward into small, manageable tasks or re-aim for a distinct end-state or set of end-states. What got you to where you are today? Why did We The People trust to place you into the highest office in the land (again)? What were our expectations and why were they not met? Consider creating a new set of criteria given the conditions our nation faces (ie., domestic disunity and foreign policy disasters). No need to start from scratch but clearly you must wipe the slate clean in some critical areas then fill them with a renewed sense of energy and urgency. I’ll finish here. That is enough for now. There is a great deal of work and much sacrifice ahead. The American people are a hopeful lot who want only what is best for our families, our homes, our communities and our country. Start there. Now is the time to take control of the things only you can control. An American in service to nation. Out.

Seems like Anthropic likes the Nightframe concept
So Anthropic has a paper on SNARKs for proving the correctness of LLM inference. The idea of snarks for LLMs is that you can check a response came from the claimed model without the operator exposing the model’s weights. It's Cool work. TL;DR: it’s about 70-95x slower than their chosen baseline, which is very impressive. I’m still reading, but my biggest question is whether that overhead is really ~100x. if I spent a few million tokens’ worth of engineering effort, would the baseline improve more than their SNARK scheme? Of course, at some point this doesn’t matter. The point is cost for the capability. If you want verifiable LLM results, on a non-local model, and can’t use a TEE, is 100x overhead acceptable? Note: they do this with a mixture-of-experts model and prove after the fact, in batches, so the prover only does work for the experts that actually ran. That doesn’t seem to translate to 100 tokens/second for other models. But like I said, I’m still reading. anthropic.com/research/prova…

What’s funny and sad about Democrats celebrating their many victories in the midterms is that they’re celebrating their own misery. Everywhere there’s Democrat leadership, taxes are high, quality of life is low, and illegal aliens are treated better than American citizens. Look at California and New York. They’re two of the most expensive states to live in, and more people keep leaving than arriving. Elections have consequences, but people vote the truest with their feet. Where they choose to live shows what they actually prefer. It’s simple math that’s leading states like California and New York toward collapse. There are fewer taxpayers to shoulder the burden of their governors’ ballooning budgets. Governors like Hochul will keep wasting billions on illegal aliens while the tax base shrinks. That’s not sustainable. Let the Democrats laugh right now. Pity them for not knowing any better. America is going to see a lot of unneeded suffering in Democrat states. It’s already happening and it’s only going to get worse. People like Pritzker will feel emboldened to keep tanking Illinois, which has its own exodus. This also explains why states like Texas are now being targeted by Democrats. Many leftists abandoned their crumbling states to leech off successful Republican ones, only to start bringing those states down too. Nobody who’s been paying attention to the GOP majority in Congress the last two years should be surprised by the midterms. Republican lawmakers had more than enough time to pass the Save America Act. When they failed to do that, they surrendered Congress to the Democrats. Once you accept that reality, you can start understanding how to fix this. But if you still think the Republican Party as it is will save America, you’re mistaken. America needs Ultra MAGA to rise out of the ruins of these midterms. Some of the baggage from the last two years that led to the bad results will no longer be in office starting January. Others will be retired by January 2029. That’ll help. Elon Musk recently spoke about focusing on the 2028 elections. Some people thought that was weird before the midterms even happened, especially with how much he invested in them. He did help lessen the loss for Republicans. But he could also see the writing on the wall. The GOP did this to themselves. Yes, Democrats used the broken election system to their advantage. But Republicans knew it was broken and still didn’t do nearly enough to fix it. If you focus all of your frustrations on Democrats tonight, then America will truly be lost. You need to see the GOP for the problem they are too. Their refusal to do what Trump was elected to do is why they lost the midterms. Of course we should celebrate the wins in Florida and the other significant Republican ones across the country. There were many. But we also need to be realistic about how we got here. Our priority needs to be calling out the traitors in the Republican Party who refuse to promote the positive policies that’ll save America. Then replace them with patriots who’ll fix the broken elections, protect women from men, keep our border secure, shrink government, lower taxes, hold Democrats and RINOs legally accountable for their crimes, and stop wasting resources overseas. That’s how we win.

As an Iranian who has been closely following US politics from the outside over the past two years, let me tell you what was the reason behind the midterm election results in my opinion. Many were blaming the Iran war. The war in Iran was essentially a proxy war whose battlefield happened to be in Iran, but behind the scenes, a complex network of global powers was involved. China, Russia, Arab nations, the Democrats, and most importantly, the UK and European liberals were the lifelines and supporters of this regime, they had no intention of ever letting the Islamic regime in Iran go. The Islamic regime functioned as their tool, their financial cash cow, and their asset in the region, to entangle the US in the region and weaken it. Trump confronted and stood against this entire network. He knew the regime was holding the Strait of Hormuz hostage, but he had the courage to step up, take the risk, and push forward. In response, they had no tools left except the narrative war. A big sophisticated network started warmongering rhetoric and propaganda. Beyond the mainstream media, they even recruited right-wing podcasters like @TuckerCarlson , who suddenly flipped their positions and began spreading false narratives. One of their primary tactics was stoking antisemitism and exploiting societal sensitivities, repeating lies until they were accepted as absolute fact. They kept claiming this was Israel’s war, which it simply wasn’t. I grew up in Iran and was forced to chant "Death to America" every morning at school, but I never once said "Death to Israel." This regime was obsessed with US, you are just so lucky you got Israeli intelligence in keeping you updated on the threat. Without Israel, you may had learned about it after a nuclear 9/11. This was America’s war, a fight against a system that was being weaponized to undermine the United States. As for the necessity of this conflict, Trump had known for years (dating back to his first term) what needed to be done with this regime. Why this timing? Because the people of Iran rose up in January 2026. If you had paid attention, the military buildup started immediately afterward because any meaningful action had to tap into the energy and courage of the Iranian people. No one in the media tells you that the Islamic regime massacred 75,000 people in Iran, and suddenly that horrific atrocity became a non-issue, completely brushed aside by those who are obsessed with Gaza. The fearmongers constantly tried to claim that this is just another "forever war," when in reality, Trump was actively preventing a repeat of the Iraq and Afghanistan disasters. What happened back then was a sudden, uncalculated collapse with no plan for the aftermath, plunging those countries into chaos and trapping America in a quagmire. But this time, Trump was handling it in a very controlled manner, applying limited, gradual pressure to steadily weaken the regime so the people could take their country back themselves, without needing any American boots on the ground. They knew full well that there were no boots on the ground in Iran and that their claims were baseless, yet they intentionally made mountains out of molehills to distort public opinion and hence bail out the regime. But it changes nothing for @realDonaldTrump , he finishes what he starts, and this will become his lasting legacy. Sadly, by making these choices, Americans have deprived themselves of domestic progress Trump could have offered, and even worse, let the enemy within inside the Senate and the House. I truly hope this serves as a wake-up call so that by 2028, these lies won’t work on you anymore.

We're going to see a lot of attacks on Elon Musk in the coming months. Let's be clear about one thing: Elon is the hero of the West, and one of the only real hopes we have left (at this level). Think about what this man has actually built. Rockets that land themselves and fly again. A car company that forced an entire industry to change. Satellite internet that reaches places governments forgot. And now the boldest bet of all: making humanity multiplanetary. Every one of these was called impossible. Every one of them happened anyway. He didn't do it with permission. He did it against regulators, against the press, against Wall Street short sellers, against an establishment that never stopped betting on his failure. He put his entire fortune on the line more than once. Most people protect what they have. Elon risks it all to build what doesn't exist yet. And beyond the companies, there's the philosophy. Civilization is worth defending. Free speech is non-negotiable. Progress is a moral duty, not a luxury. The future should be bigger than the past. That's the vision the West forgot, and he's one of the few people still carrying it at full scale. So when the attacks come, and they will, remember who's actually building. The critics write articles. He launches rockets. The West needs to stand behind him. All of it. His project is right. His philosophy is right. Support him in every way you can, loudly, without apologizing for it. Because when we finally get out of this mess, I have no doubt he'll be one of the people who got us there.
