At libraries that’s every day. 😉

This week I received this letter from 10-year old Annie of Seattle.
As a former children’s librarian I understand her plea. Currently, @librarycongress is working to develop NEW engaging projects, resources, and spaces to connect with our younger users across the country. (1/2)

I love the excitement of authentic research!
2nd graders have been investigating continents these last 6 weeks. Our culminating activity is creating “postcards” from a continent we want to visit! 🌍🌏🌎
We love researching and citing images from @CapstonePub’s PebbleGo! ✍🏻📸

Thank you @mstewartscience! I have been waiting somewhat *impatiently* for your list to come out! This was such a hit with my students last year. I can’t wait to do it again! 😃

Unwrap a Mystery Book! 4th and 5th Grade students made mystery fiction bags for checkout! Our @canva previews included the fiction reading genre, a short summary and the first line of the book! "What mystery book did you get??" #kingsley58 #dg58pride

On this heart-filled day, I’m sharing this drawing of mine that celebrates the importance of school libraries (complete, of course, with a well-funded, certified librarian!). I’m grateful I get to spend my day with PreK thru 4th graders in a school library in Grand Rapids, MI. 💛

We damage the dignity of others when we refuse to wait for them – whether they need to tie their own shoes or they are struggling to find words for the indescribable. We bestow honor on another when we consider him or her worth waiting for.

the week after Christmas is Liminal Week. no ambitions, no goals. time stretches and bends in mysterious ways. you are entering the void, the shadow realm, where days are no longer counted in minutes and hours. anything and nothing can happen. surrender to mystery
This is an absolute gem of a book and I have been proud to share it with students these last few years since its publication. To educators, please share it! To @Devas_T , THANK YOU for your commitment to sharing the stories we all need to hear.
