“I would kill for you.” “I would die for you.” Yeah, well, I would heal for you. I’d unlearn my toxic patterns, face my wounds, and become a healthier person so my love doesn’t hurt you.

avoidant: i need you to understand my boundaries. me: of course. avoidant: i need space when i'm overwhelmed. me: okay. me: i need reassurance when i'm anxious. avoidant: you're exhausting. me: so your needs are boundaries, but mine are fucking problems? avoidant: that's not what i meant. me: funny how your feelings need protection, but mine need permission.

fun fact: when a woman is on her period, her estrogen levels drop, so when you complain that she’s “acting like a bitch,” she’s actually just acting like a MAN.

What’s the biggest red flag you ignored because you loved that person?

What’s something people judge others for, even though they’d probably do the same thing in that situation?

I once saw an old man sitting outside a hospital, holding two cups of tea. After almost an hour, a nurse came out and told him that his wife had passed away. He looked at her quietly, nodded, and asked, “Can I still sit with her for a little while?” The nurse led him inside. He placed one cup of tea beside her, held her hand, and whispered, “You always complained that I made your tea too sweet. Tomorrow, I was going to make it the way you liked it.” Then he smiled through his tears and said, “I spent forty years thinking I had more tomorrows to love you better.” I couldn't stop thinking about that sentence. How many times do we postpone kindness because we assume there will be another chance? How many people fall asleep feeling unloved beside someone who genuinely loves them but never learned how to show it? Sometimes, the tragedy isn't that love ends. It's that we understand its value only when there is nobody left to receive it. If you knew that the person you love would die tomorrow, would you be proud of how you treated them today or would you spend your last night wishing you had been a different person?

Nina simone said, “i have to constantly re-identify myself to myself, reactivate my own standards, my own convictions about what i’m doing and why.” i wrote this down in my journal today, and it really stayed with me.

Cheating doesn't just happen. it's a choice, and sometimes, a carefully planned one. acting like the perfect boyfriend, posting you on his social media, making you believe you're the only one while secretly hiding other people from you none of that makes the betrayal any less real. he knows what he's doing.

Person: “you’ve always been so independent.” autistic person: “no. i just learned not to ask for help.” person: “why?” autistic person: “because needing support was treated like a character flaw.”

women really will be sick, bleeding, grieving, raising children, working, paying bills, and keeping an entire household functioning. and then somebody will tell her she needs to learn how to be more feminine and soft. baby, WHEN?

adhd is crazy because if i don’t see something, it doesn’t exist. and if i see something too much, my brain stops seeing it.

You’re starting to realise, aren’t you? that you’ve always been alone. not physically, but emotionally and mentally. you’ve learned to carry your own thoughts, fight your own battles, and hold on to your dreams, often without the understanding or support you needed. maybe you’ve had people around you, but no one truly saw your depth, your struggles, or your aspirations. yet, somewhere in that solitude, you’ve discovered your strength. you’ve realised that your journey is yours to walk, and while it can feel lonely, it also means you get to shape your own future. maybe this loneliness isn’t a curse, but an invitation to understand who you are, what you need, and how to build a life that feels true to you.

People love saying “that’s just how i am” until somebody responds with “and that’s why i don’t fuck with you.”

last night, my SEVEN-YEAR-OLD told me she doesn’t get jealous of people because she “has lots of gratitude, and when you’re grateful, there’s no room for jealousy.” ma’am?? are you an oracle??

“i used to be good at this” hits differently when you remember how much you once loved doing it.

“who will take care of you when you’re old?” is such a disturbing reason to bring a person into this world.

Being cheated on hurts, but have you ever watched your partner value and protect someone else’s feelings more than their own partner’s?
