Wide vs. Narrow LP Ranges: Fees, Impermanent Loss, and Rebalancing Costs
A wider LP range may reduce frequent rebalancing, but fee income may also be lower. A narrower range can concentrate liquidity while requiring more active management.
When evaluating concentrated liquidity, consider:
• LP fees
• Impermanent loss
• Rebalancing and Gas costs
• Ongoing management requirements
Evaluate the full cost picture—not fees alone.
Which factor matters most in your LP strategy?

LightningMM's DEX chart-drawing bot now has a manually enabled Safety Mode.
It protects the bot's working price baseline, rechecks the order book during execution, and slows the strategy when the market shows suspicious order patterns.
Full logs link: Please see the first comment.
A market-making bot should not assume that the first order book snapshot remains valid for an entire sequence.
LightningMM Safety Mode rechecks the book between individual executions. Suspected insertion signal: pause, read again, and recalculate before continuing.
Details: lightningmm.com/changelog/48
Why this matters:
A bot can read a valid market state and still execute against a different one milliseconds later. In a thin book, a price push or a newly inserted order can change the trade before the next step begins.
Full log: lightningmm.com/changelog/48
After signals consistent with order splitting or execution collisions, the bot reduces the amount executed per step and increases the interval between trades.
The tradeoff is deliberate: lower execution intensity in exchange for less repeated exposure.

In the old per-wallet, per-token path, 1,000 wallets x 10 assets could mean up to 10,000 balance reads. One RPC failure could stall a run. Full breakdown -> first comment
Full technical breakdown of the batch read, fault isolation, and stalled-task changes: lightningmm.com/changelog/43 · Full write-up: medium.com/@lightningmm2016/…
Stuck-task protection uses two thresholds: 3 minutes with zero successful writes is the no-progress stop threshold that terminates a stalled task, and 55 minutes is the maximum allowed run time for a single refresh, not a measured or typical speed.
