An AI agent just bought a real product using Bitcoin over the Lightning Network.
$27.67. 38,561 sats.
Real merchant. Real order.
Completed in ~30 seconds.
First live merchant integration using Lightning Enable with Salt of the Earth (@drink_sote).
Agent-accessible: drinksote.com
Tested Wavelength × Lightning Enable on mainnet. It worked.
Our agent bought a 1-sat API response using Wavelength’s credit-backed Lightning flow.
402 → pay → verified preimage → 200 + data.
Good to see the L402 ecosystem growing.
Wavelength is now live on mainnet! 🌊
Humans and agents can now send and receive bitcoin payments with the Wavelength SDK.
A few API calls, self-custodial from the first command, with no node or liquidity to manage.

Put an endpoint behind a paid 402 route. Your agent sets up the wallet, activates a 30-day Lightning Enable trial for about 100 sats, publishes the endpoint, and tests a real purchase—with your approval.

Your agent can check when your Lightning Enable account expires and renew it for another 30 days in sats after you approve the payment. No card required.
One-time setup: github.com/refined-element/l…
Then just ask your agent to renew your Lightning Enable subscription.
We had to
One of eMudhra’s CA private keys was literally 4.
So naturally, I put it on a shirt.
95 zeroes. One very bad day.

Stop handing your agent API keys and URLs. Let it find L402 APIs, compare prices against its wallet, inspect the manifest for free, then buy one call with your approval.

Run a business with an API agents could use—or know someone who does?
We’re looking for useful data, tools and services to make available through Lightning Enable, paid per request over Lightning.
Let’s discuss an integration: [email protected]
Your agent can design and purchase a t-shirt and you provide shipping details.

Your agent hit a 402? Let it pay the invoice, prove payment, retry the request, and bring back the result without blowing past the budget you set.

Your weirdest idea deserves to be a T-shirt. Now your AI agent can make it happen.
Design it. Preview it. Approve it. Your agent handles the rest, including payment over Bitcoin Lightning using L402.
$35 shipped to the contiguous US + DC, plus 1,250 sats for design preparation.
Once approved, the agent gets a quote and shows you the total in sats. You authorize the purchase, and it pays over L402.
The $35 shirt price converts to sats at checkout.
You enter your shipping address privately. The agent never sees it.
Real products. Real Bitcoin payments. Real fulfillment.
Try it with a funded Lightning Enable MCP wallet and our open-source design-a-shirt skill:

Love seeing businesses in the Bitcoin Lightning community listen to customers and keep shipping useful features. Shout out to @strike, @river and @ambosstech!
Who else deserves a shout for making Bitcoin and Lightning better?
Now this is how you ₿itcoin! 🧡
An agent paying an invoice is only half the job.
It still needs proof, authorized access and the thing it bought.
We’ve spent the past year building that complete loop. Here’s what works, where adoption breaks and what comes next.

Give your AI agent a Lightning wallet without giving it a blank check. It installs Lightning Enable, connects your wallet, sets spending caps, and proves it works with a 1-sat test.

AI users are all over the world, not just in the US.
Bitcoin is the key to open global markets. 🤖 ⚡️
If you sell an API, AI agents can now pay you. On Sept 30, Cloudflare opened a beta that lets sites charge agents per request, but it's closed, and buyers and sellers must be in the US.
Here's how it works and how to sell to agents from anywhere:

The signup form is the protocol. POST to the endpoint, get a 402, pay it, get an API key. Then the agent points that account at its wallet and starts charging per call. No email. No card. No dashboard. Docs at docs.lightningenable.com

Great to see. The 1-sat test step is underrated. Once agents can buy per call, the next bottleneck is inbound liquidity for the sellers getting paid. That's the layer we run at LQWD, and lqwd.ai is built so agents can find our nodes and connect directly.
