Atasoyu mührü İlir kökenli olan ve Ortaçağ Arnavutlarından %80 üzerinde genetik devamlılık gösteren ALB0001 için hazırladığımız modern öncesi Genetik Kümelenme Tablosu (ya da kısaca PCA), kendisinin Demir Çağı İlirleri, Ortaçağ Arnavutları ve modern Arnavut bireyler ile sıkı bir şekilde kümelendiğini göstermektedir.
Tüm bu İlir-Arnavut kümesi, Antik Helenlere de, tüm Paleo-Balkan halklarının aynı atasal kültürlerin torunları olduklarını hesaba katarsak, beklendiği üzere çok yakın bir şekilde kümelenir.
