Reading Selye's The Stress Of Life and find it a little arbitrary to focus on stress as “the non-specific response of the body to any demand” and restricted the GAS (alarm → resistance → exhaustion) to the common triad he observed. I am practical when it comes to health but I draw my actions from theory which I guess is more like what optimizers do.
