Congrats to Ruthie and what a great graduation speech. Thanks so much for posting ❤️
I’ve been on this site for almost 16 years and for many, if not most of them, I’ve posted quite a bit about Ruthie and what it’s been like to raise a kid with a disability. I’ve been pretty quiet lately, but yesterday, she graduated from high school and was selected to give one of 3 student speeches. Here is hers (sorry it's 8 min). I keep learning so much from this young woman. I don’t expect that will change…

"An aircraft doesn’t know any prejudice, it treats me like anyone else”
“I worked so hard on my motor skills that I don’t need any special tricks or features to fly an aircraft”
"flying allows him to transcend ... physical limits"
And many more great lines
A qualified pilot with cerebral palsy says that flying an aircraft is one of the only things he can do without any difficulty and that it is the only time when he feels truly free.

This is a big idea! Up to 350k high quality sustainable homes where they're needed most. And help for homeowners. A true win-win.
Today, we are launching @ProgressIreland’s first housing policy.
Solutions can be overlooked when nearby – even in our own back gardens.
I want to tell you about how allowing homeowners to build a home in their gardens could unlock hundreds of thousands of new homes.
