I'm not really a fan of the next gen being OP compared to their parents. Boruto as an example. I know this is a natural progression of power scaling, but at the same time, it minimizes their parents' character growth in the original series.

Yh insane. I still don't fully understand. This Kid is erasing Yhwach fragments from across realms like his mother, but without aids. Then he transforms into a Shinigami & manifests his zanpakuto like his dad, but without aids. I'm not actually surprised at the number of people who don't understand fanworks in general are considered copyright infringements. They exist only when the owners look the other way.

There is only so much complaining about pop culture one can do before they get asked, “Why not make your own?” The Malfoid thing got popular because it is an easy shortcut. Everyone and their grandma knows HP, so making fanworks of it gets recognition.

In contrast, making something original that will catch fire is much harder. So of course it is easier to complain about the state of entertainment than to offer an alternative. Bottom line: support good indie creators if you believe in freedom of creation away from corporates.

I see the Malfoid thing as the fans of HP having fun by adding a twist to the franchise. You know what else I noticed? None of these fans are demanding JK Rowling to re-write the entire HP series, or they will cancel her. An utter difference between SJWs and real fans.
