Not only is it stupid but also mostly slop.
They are trying so hard to be evocative with the Vienna analogy. Also, contrarianism!= independent thought. It reads like an aesthetic of intellectualism to me because none of the ideas seem original.

Very important thread on the ECI's desperate attempt to cover its tracks before the Supreme Court and it will not wash.
This has now become a test of the @indSupremeCourt and whether it wants to lose public legitimacy just as the @ECISVEEP already has.
The Election Commission has filed its reply in the Supreme Court to the petition on how the three-member Commission functions.
27 pages, approved by all three members. Its argument: every decision was unanimous, and a Commissioner’s note is a “suggestion,” not a decision.
Here’s what it addresses, and what it doesn’t.

Yeah, looks like it. Dreaming right-wing renaissance out of the ashes of secular socialism with nostalgic set-design of Viennese modernists in 1896, brooding over coffee.
Every single post I've seen from Indian "academia" (which is almost 95% straight-up Mimicry of Western academia and has almost nothing new to show for itself in terms of brand-new ideas) is petty, childish, and jealousy-ridden seethe. It's proof that @sirfaditya and @kavitaayeinn are doing something very interesting and provoking...

Amazing achievement. In 2024, Serbian students issued this letter to "Students Around the world"
“The world is on the brink of collapse, representative democracy is failing and our future is at risk...There are countless reasons for a blockade, and you know best what yours is"

Artists who don't take a stand are the ones who will make their bed anywhere. If you are a radical artist you'll feel the urge to spit at these proclamation but the bitter truth is that the majority of the literary world (its prizes, its prestige, its media outlets, its inner circle of critics) all belong to the same fucking club. They are the ones who are the tastemakers. They are the ones who are the gatekeepers. Banville might be saying something and exposing himself as an filtered idiot, but everyone in this elite circle is thinking the same, and they're applying this criterion in their decisionmaking. What happened with Rooney is that she's such a rockstar commercial bestseller, someone who could win the market before her politics could disturb these peaceniks. For a lot of the other writers, their politics earns them an immediate blacklist, and it is ever-present.. before they're even allowed to enter, compete in the market, or in the literary arena for whatever sham prizes that are being given away

This is how the ECI under Gyanesh is illegally filling forms to deleted voters directly from its centralised software in the name of poll officials. It is a criminal act for which Gyanesh and gang have to be punished.

Samajwadi Party has identified 100 seats where lakhs of duplicate voters--with a voter registered twice, thrice, and even 5 times--exist.
How many of these seats did the SP/BJP win or lose by a thin margin in 2022?

A BJP booth level agent filed 5,359 Form 7 objections in Uttarakhand’s Kichha, mostly seeking the deletion of Muslim voters’ names.
He claimed the ERO initially refused to accept the bulk objections but accepted them after he complained to the ECI.
