Jamais comparem.
To embasbacada com certas mesas redondas jornalísticas agora chutando Flávio, o cachorro morto fugitivo. Saúde para a minoria lúcida debates circos!
Flavio Bolsonaro is nowhere to be found, and said to evade to one of right-wing rules country around Brazil - rumour has it he's in Argentina waiting for political asylum paperwork.
Brazil wonders: Where on earth is Flavio Bolsonaro? reuters.com/world/americas/b…

#ParabensLula #ParabensPresidenteLula

Yesterday, Brazil showed the world that the will of the people is stronger than the authoritarians who try to suppress it. Congratulations President @LulaOficial and congratulations Brazil.

The entire Financial Times editorial board has published a piece urging Lula to cut government spending and appoint a finance minister who enjoys the confidence of investors.
I get the impression that the FT editorial board has never opened an economics book other than some outdated introductory macroeconomics textbook, perhaps something by Mankiw. Otherwise, it's hard to explain such astonishing arrogance and economic ignorance.
Lula and the Brazilian people have absolutely no reason to bow to the demands of financial markets. Brazil is Latin America's largest economy, a major regional power, and a country with a high degree of monetary sovereignty. Around 97% of the central government's debt is denominated in its own currency, the Brazilian real.
The relationship between the state and financial markets is therefore nothing like the FT portrays it. Brazil is not dependent on financial markets. On the contrary, financial markets depend on government spending, which creates financial assets for the private sector, while government debt denominated in the national currency is one of the instruments through which those assets are held.
What Brazil needs is not capitulation to financial markets, but an independent economic policy focused on expanding production, creating jobs, and improving people's living standards.
Armed with the insights of heterodox economic theory, Brazil has the potential to show the world what a genuine economic miracle looks like. ft.com/content/79785581-88c2…

Lula's reelection in Brazil is not just a domestic victory. It is the single biggest geopolitical defeat the US empire has suffered in Latin America in decades.
Here is what was actually at stake:
The Resources:
Brazil holds the world's second-largest rare earth reserves — nearly a quarter of the global supply. The US military-industrial complex is desperate for these minerals to break its dependence on China. The Bolsonaro dynasty was ready to hand them over. A US government-linked company already bought Brazil's only active rare earth mine from Bolsonaro-aligned oligarchs for $2.8 billion. They wanted Petrobras privatized next. Lula said no. These are our minerals. We will build our own economy.
Palestine:
Lula lost a finger in a factory at 17. He is the working class. The Bolsonaros are the landlords, the oligarchs, and the cheerleaders of settler colonialism. They waved Israeli flags at their rallies. They held Zoom calls with Netanyahu on stage. They posed with a map of Israel colonizing ALL of historic Palestine — Gaza, the West Bank, the Golan Heights. Lula stands with Palestine and calls the genocide what it is.
The Multipolar World:
Lula co-founded BRICS. He is building parallel financial systems to bypass the weaponized US dollar. He called for a new global reserve currency. He wants Latin America to trade in its own currency, free from Washington's sanctions. The empire cannot tolerate a continent that refuses to pay rent in dollars.
So how did Washington respond to a sovereign democratic choice?
Trump slapped Brazil with 50% tariffs — even though the US has a trade SURPLUS with Brazil. The tariffs were never economic. They were punishment.
Meta censored Lula's accounts and boosted Bolsonaro.
The Bolsonaro campaign hired a US AI company to spread disinformation.
Eduardo Bolsonaro literally called on Trump to send the US military to attack the Brazilian government.
They threw everything at him. Tariffs. Censorship. Disinformation. Coup attempts.
And they still lost.
The American empire tried to enforce the Monroe Doctrine with algorithms, tariffs, and a puppet dynasty. But the Brazilian working class just voted to keep their minerals, defend Palestine, and build a world where Washington doesn't get to decide who eats.
You can tariff the economy. You can censor the candidate. You can beg for a military coup.
But you cannot colonize a people who have already decided they belong to themselves.

Zohran Mamdani on Brazil:
Yesterday, when I was coming home, we had just gotten off the bridge, and a number of New Yorkers streamed out of a bar, and they were just chanting Lula's name.
I think it is an indication of the fact that New Yorkers are excited.
I congratulate the president. And I think that it is a sign that the people united will never be defeated.

#JusticaPorRioVerde e #VitoriaDaDemocracia pedem o segundo turno. OLHA O DIRECT. PRECISO FALAR COM VOCÊ. Renan Santos, Alckmin, Jones Manoel, Camilo Santana, Elias, Paraguai, Venezuela, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Goiás, Roraima, Rondônia, Faria Lima, Michelle, BRICS, Congresso e Ibovespa entram na conta.
Compartilha agora. A mobilização decide. Zanin tem a caneta. O povo do Rio tem a voz.

O maior crescimento do presidente Lula foi no RIO DE JANEIRO!
Mas adivinha especificamente onde?
Na nossa querida ZONA OESTE!
Resultado da luta e organização do povo.
Na rua a gente se encontra.

Hey, Ottawa! We are voting for mayor, council and school trustees in less than 3 weeks! Do you know your candidates and which one has the boldest ideas to make our city better FOR EVERYONE? I would like someone that understands, like Mamdani, that a safer city has strong services. Instead of increasing police's budget every year, we should take this money to community centres and programs.
For me, the freshest and most daring (but responsible) plans come from @NeilOttawa . I am convinced that keep in power the same fella that overpromised and underdelivered to most of the city is not a good idea. How we would have a different result with the same ideas and people? Dare to change and find a better path to our beloved city!
New York City recorded the fewest shootings, shooting victims, and murders in recorded history for the first nine months of 2026
▪️ Major Crime — Down 6.6%
▪️ Shootings — Down 11.6%
▪️ Shooting Victims — Down 14.4%
▪️ Murders — Down 19.8%
Mayor Mamdani says "Together, we will build on this progress by continuing to invest in approaches that prevent crime and keep every New Yorker safe.”
