IT'S HERE! I often think how current representation of Ukraine's war will shape collective memory. 1/ Thrilled to share our collab w/ the brilliant @CityLab team (@mariepastora, @rachaeldottle, @sondagj) to do that w/ data, words, 3D model, audio 👇 bloomberg.com/graphics/2022-…

one of the big early ideas behind tailscale was a single computer is powerful enough to solve almost every problem, and that this is not widely understood. we need fewer distributed systems and more spreadsheet implementations.

When I first confronted one of the missile programmers months ago, I asked him how he sleeps at night after what he does. He snapped back: "Be professional. Ask a professional question". I asked him why they kill so many civilians. He wrote "You know well I can't answer this".
Ever wonder how Russian cruise missiles find their way into Ukrainian playgrounds, power stations, and apartment buildings? Well thanks to @bellingcat’s @christogrozev wonder no more. It’s time to meet the team behind the targeting of Russian missiles on civilian infrastructure.

Meanwhile in Russia: families of the mobilized can apply to receive a one-time ration of potatoes, cabbage and carrots. nitter.gq/SobolLubov/status/1582…
Раньше Ладу-Калину обещали, теперь картошку и капусту. За жизнь сына, мужа, брата. Полнейшая жесть. А почему мэр Якутска сам не мобилизован-то? Его семье картошки не надо?

There are several complications in making a fast CI, but given my multiple attempts at it, I am starting to think that GitHub have designed a CI system that simply cannot go fast. If you CI takes more than 30 seconds, it's broken.

Hi. My name is Paul. I have a PhD and tenure. Today I decided to test if a bottle of super glue was open by squirting it into my hand. Then I tried to clean my hand by wiping it on a box.

Our HP printer hasn’t been working for a month and every manner of troubleshooting, resets, changing ink cartridges, didn’t seem to work. After calling HP, they said the debit card on file had expired so they manually disabled our printer. In unrelated news, I’m now radicalized

Putin's next (and final) battle. (This thread went viral in Russian so I decided to publish an English version as well) A long thread about what, in my opinion, is Putin's strategy right now, and the last gamble he is making to break Ukraine's resistance.
