All the talk about Nigerian civil service being bloated and inefficient is fancy until you join the service and see how overstretched the staff are.
Many Nigerian MDAs are grossly understaffed. The few MDAs that don't do much usually lack the funding to deliver their mandate. There are of course many agencies with overlapping mandates that could be consolidated into one agency to save bureaucratic costs.
But when everything is taken into consideration, Nigerian civil service is far from over bloated, and most of the inefficiencies talked about has nothing to do with the staff but more to do with lack of funding, political interference and other factors.
Ultra capitalists won't rest with the accusations against Nigerian civil service until they see it's stripped to the bones. They will rather the government spend billions in consultancy on their consultancy firms for work the civil servants can deliver.
For a country of more than 200 million people, Nigeria has less than 1 million civil and public servants.

NDC DG is on TV attacking Atiku...using his stinking mouth to go after Atiku's family.
Let it be on the record o
Not when we start hitting back, tears go full everywhere 😂🤣🤣
Instead of you to focus on tbe ruling party, Atiku has become your problem.
Peter Obi doesn’t own a private jet, but Atiku does. Peter Obi has only two children, while Atiku has up to 30. Their family lifestyles are different, the way they govern is different, and their ages are not the same. I don’t understand why people keep comparing them. You can only compare apple with apple, not apple with mango.

The comments section is filled with Chinese bots.😂😂😂
I’m trying very hard not to call you a moron because I’m in a good mood today.
In 2025, Niger’s military government ordered three senior Chinese oil executives linked to CNPC, the SORAZ joint-venture refinery, and the West African Oil Pipeline Company to leave the country within 48 hours. They left as ordered. No coup, no regime change, no destabilisation campaign.
There are other cases of Chinese businesses being expelled or pushed out of countries across the Global South, not just in Africa, and the Chinese have often simply taken the loss and moved on. Can you say the same about your European and American colonial masters?
And while we’re at it, I want you to prove me wrong. Show me a record of Chinese loans or infrastructure deals that are demonstrably worse than comparable Western deals. I’m genuinely open to being corrected, but I want evidence, not recycled talking points about debt traps. From what I’ve seen, Chinese financing often comes with more attractive terms than people care to acknowledge, even if the conditions vary considerably from one deal to another.
You claim the CPC is more brutal than its Western counterparts. On what material basis? What exactly are we comparing? Colonial massacres, imperialist wars, regime-change operations, and the exploitation of entire continents, or are we pretending Western history began yesterday?
So far, what China has largely done in Africa is compete for influence by offering infrastructure, financing, and commercial partnerships. We’re in the courting phase of this relationship, and the Chinese have every incentive to demonstrate that they can offer African countries a better deal than the West.
Where Chinese businesses exploit workers, disregard local interests, or behave badly, criticise them. Nobody is asking you to give China a free pass. But let’s not pretend that these problems emerged in a vacuum. Decades of Western domination have left many African countries negotiating from positions of weakness, with institutions too compromised to protect their own citizens effectively. Chinese businesses can exploit those weaknesses, too, and some clearly do.
My point is that even China’s shortcomings need to be assessed against the actual historical and economic context, not some fantasy in which Western powers are the gold standard for responsible foreign engagement.
You want to argue that China is worse? Fine. Bring the evidence, compare the actual terms and consequences, and make your case. I'll wait.

Guys are asked to provide a single video where Masussuka called for violence against anyone, they couldn't , so resorted to their insults of choice, which is to tell someone they can't defeat in an argument to go back to islamiyya.
Allah ya jarrabe mu da tarin Yan Boko Haram a Arewa
Haaaaa.
My friends, like @yaxmokwa and @Moh__Sarkee, and I have a group where we regularly dissected his religious engagements, and we have seen this man not only condemn extremism against fellow Muslims but also go as far as facilitating interfaith relations between Muslims and Christians. Please, point to one specific instance where Masussuka ever called for violence.

Dimwitted clerics like this almost over-ran Bida town few years ago. It took the intervention of Etsu Yahaya and other elders to smoke them out when the authorities came for them. The authorities made a very good example of Mallam Isah Gausu then, and since then, the town has been enjoying relative peace even though we still have a handful of them remaining.
It's time our governors and leaders put an end to this brewing inferno in Arewa.

This airport isn’t a priority especially as the MMIA renovation and expansion will be completed in 6-9months max! What any incoming governor should focus on is urban renewal, sewage & water reticulation and power generation! We don’t need another airport yet that can come later.
People that supported GEJ in 2015 are waxing lyrical about turn of the South, if you allow anyone to bobo you in 2027, na you Sabi.

2. The time anyone cared about what Atiku did and didn’t do or how things will end, finished in 2023.
So this your talk no make sense.
If Atiku wins, good
If he doesn’t win, good.
Fact is the man has had a fulfilled life that many, including yourself, may never have.
Replying to @Cicerorian_
Still better than whatever it is you are proposing we do with atiku (a man who has never won an election in his life before). My joy is that by this time next year, atiku will have been retired permanently from any thing politics in Nigeria.

Oh! This makes sense. I remember reading that some electricity equipment had procurement issues during Obj’s rule. It was part of the fraud that Atiku was falsely accused of🤣
President Tinubu directs urgent clearance of over 300 containers of stranded electricity equipment, some held at ports for 20 years.

You don't appreciate how PMS price feed into overall inflation in Nigeria, especially food inflation. Then transportation or you don't think the "common man" move around? Plus Nigeria has almost a non existent "public transportation".

To every founder, engineer, and dreamer gathered at the National Theatre in Lagos today for Moonshot by @TechCabal: you have built world-class companies in spite of policy, and I want to be the President who builds policy that works for you.
I will give young companies tax relief in their early years. I will also make the government your customer by digitising public services, budgeting, and procurement, and I will require every new development to be fibre-ready. You have proven what Nigerian talent can do alone. Imagine what it can do with a government on its side. -AA

Masussuka was born on September 19, 1979. Maitatsine was killed on December 28, 1980. Masussuka was just one year, three months and nine days old when Maitatsine was killed. How on earth could a baby barely 15 months old have been Maitatsine’s student? Ku ji tsoron Allah mana.
