They're trying to push generational warfare in Europe. Laughable. The whole point of europe is pensions. World War 2 killed the utopias of nationalism and religion. The only utopia left is lifestyle. And you can't have a lifestyle if you have a job. Thats what the pension is for. It lets you live without a job. Everyone eventually gets old. They want that pension. That's the only dream left.

The hardship may be completely real, but it gets converted into a debt that YOU are expected to pay, with your money, time, energy, forgiveness or access to you.
Separate compassion from obligation. Someone's suffering deserves empathy but it doesn't automatically give them authority over your finances, private affairs, or the decisions you make with what belongs to you.
