Lol, I just stopped by to educate you a little. First, a DJI Pocket 4 is a handheld camera, not a drone. I requested a repair referral because it’s a relatively new gadget in this part of the world. Kindhearted Nigerians who support HE Peter Obi’s presidential ambition offered to replace it. The support wasn’t for me personally, but a gesture of goodwill towards the campaign. One indicator of a candidate’s acceptance is the willingness of people to support without coercion or expectations of anything in return. That’s something you, your boss and the APC cannot boast of. I’m where I’m treated with respect, dignity and love. I can’t say the same for you. I’d encourage you to join the brighter side of the divide, so you won’t be shouting “Akanbi” on a hot Thursday afternoon.
Esther, take a moment to look at yourself. After years of working with Peter Obi, you still have to come on X to solicit crowdfunding before you can afford a basic work tool like a drone. Have you ever seen any of Peter Obi’s children come online to beg for financial assistance? Why do politicians' children enjoy comfort while young people who dedicate their lives working for them struggle to afford basic necessities? Never make a politician your entire future. Build your own life!

This is the dumbest take I’ve heard all year. And it’s been a crazy year 🤯 Let me dismantle this argument using the same analogy, with one correction. A family earns 50k (But instead of 5k going missing, 40k disappears - a much closer illustration of reality). You’re poor. Yes! But poverty is your condition. Corruption is the biggest problem keeping you trapped in poverty. That missing 40k is the money meant to fund education, skill acquisition, productive assets, building a business or creating opportunities that would actually help you earn more and escape poverty. But instead, you’re left with 10k and somehow being told by this lad that your biggest problem is that you don’t earn enough. Even if you believe him and your income rises to 500k tomorrow, is it not 400k that will still disappear ? Even scripture recognises that “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much” (Luke 16:10) Now. Revenue doesn’t fall from heaven. It comes from productivity, investment and value creation, all of which depend on the very resources that corruption is stealing. And even if you miraculously generate more revenue, there’s no amount of money that can save you from institutionalized corruption. We’ve seen people inherit enormous wealth and end up bankrupt because they couldn’t manage what was already in their hands. If you cannot account for what you already have, earning more simply gives you more to squander. I genuinely hope Seun challenged this, because I cannot imagine allowing someone to spew such nonsense with this level of confidence.
The internet is such an interesting place. This Tibetan Chihuahua doesn't miss an opportunity to talk down on other people's level of intelligence & string word salad - but this is genuinely a stupid person. It is so unbelievable 😂

Nigeria’s FGN, from 2023 to 2025, removed the fuel subsidy and borrowed new funds, receiving total resources of N20t. Of that N20t, less than N300b went to education (source: MoF). The problem is not revenue; the problem is how that little revenue is being deployed to help that family earning N50,000. Many low-income families earning less than N50,000 a month have produced a graduate. (Yes, N50,000 is figurative; I get it.) What were families’ earnings in South-West Nigeria when Chief Obafemi Awolowo instituted free education? How many middle-class families were created today because that government invested in families earning N50,000 a month ? The role of any government is to support low earners through subsidies, institutional support, and low taxes so their children can escape the poverty trap.
“nigeria has more of a revenue challenge than a corruption challenge. anybody can challenge me on that.” - JJ Omojuwa JJ Omojuwa challenges the popular narrative about Nigeria’s biggest problem, arguing that the country’s revenue shortfall goes deeper than corruption.

Did you see how upset he was, begging Arteta to come out and play? He’d rather lose “honourably” than admit Arteta got the job done. His team defended all game after scoring and wasted time at every opportunity the referee was even counting how long they took over throw ins and goal kicks. But when Arteta beats him, suddenly he’s all over social media complaining how terrible we were.

Patriarchy existed to STOP OTHER MEN. You really think men invented patriarchy to hold YOU down? You are too weak, too fragile, too irrelevant for men to waste invention on you. Men invented patriarchy to protect their lands, food, money, resources, women and children FROM MEN. 500 years ago women didn't know what patriarchy was because it was SURVIVAL. No police. No 911. No guns. No cell phones. If a rival tribe wanted you, they killed your men, raped you, took your land, took your food, and married you off to their sons or kept you as maids, servants, and sex slaves. That was history. Patriarchy said: TOUCH HER AND YOU DIE. She belongs to this man, this family, this tribe. That was not oppression. That was a DEATH THREAT to other men to keep you safe. Pregnancy = 9 months useless. Breastfeeding mother can't run, can't fight, baby cries and brings wolves. Who hunted? MEN. Who fought bears? MEN. Who fought other men? MEN. Who built houses in snow? MEN. Who died in wars? 90% MEN. If men left women alone to be "independent" in 1500, you would have gone EXTINCT in one winter. No food. No fire. No protection. You are alive today because of patriarchy. Modern luxury - AC, Uber Eats, iPhone, birth control, police made yall RETARDED and ungrateful. You think world was always safe. You think animals don't hunt humans for food? Who stopped all these? Patriarchy. Men who built walls, laws, armies, civilization so you can sit on TikTok with fake eyelashes and say "patriachy oppress me." You are not oppressed. You are PROTECTED and too dumb to know it. Without patriarchy, you wouldn't be CEOs. You'd be extinct or a sex slave to the strongest man in your own village that’s been conquered by the enemy. Patriarchy is not why you are suffering. Patriarchy is why you are ALIVE to complain.
Patriarchy didn’t come from God it was written by men, edited by men, interpreted by men and enforced on women in God’s name.

Yesterday, on my way to Lekki, it started raining. Within minutes, everywhere started flooding. Watching it happen in real time was jarring. The report card is giving F9

As an incumbent, the campaign for your second term should be light work. Just remind people of the good work you did in your first term. No need for intimidation and rigging. For example, how we went from at least 14hrs daily electricity supply to 4hrs weekly supply.

We simply don’t get it. One man has had control over this state for as far back as we know, and as we can see, the plan is to still retain control. This is why the nonchalant and gentleman-style the Lagos guber oppositions are putting forward is very disappointing. It’s giving unseriousness. You can clearly see that the ruling party is ready. They have a plan. They aren’t even seeing losing as an option. It’s almost like what they’re doing is just a formality and they’re playing a waiting game. Meanwhile, you as an opposition, that wants power [to change], you are quiet. You are putting more effort into echoing jabs online. You aren’t doing half of what‘s needed to be done especially for a state like Lagos. What’s your strength like? How much influence do you have in the 5 largest local governments in Lagos? What really is your strategy? THE PEOPLE IN THE STREETS DON’T KNOW YOU. THE PEOPLE WORKING 9-5 AND BLUE COLLAR JOBS DON’T KNOW YOU. THE GEN Z’s AND THE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS DON’T KNOW YOU. Go into the streets and do a survey if you don’t believe me. (if the rebuttal is that they won’t let you paste banners, then distribute flyers.) Go to bus stops, market places, churches and mosques: where Lagosians gather. Let people see you. You are believing that having a legacy and historical name will help, but unfortunately, it’s not working. The voting populace of this generation weren’t taught history. You have to do the work, intensify your efforts and do it fast because what they reward is effort and so far, as an opposition, your efforts have not been noticed. It doesn’t have to be big or grand, start within communities. If you’re expecting the people to rally around you, they have to SEE you. Let the respected elders known within the communities do the work for you. It’s not rocket science. I simply don’t understand it. There’s no reason why there aren’t daily town hall meetings across local government areas, pictures and videos of you interacting with the everyday Lagosians on social media. Leveraging LIVE and spaces to interact with voters. Using whatever time you have left to hear directly from the people and be familiar with them. I mean, why on earth are you sleeping now? Sometimes politicians annoy me and I understand why people end up saying their efforts are a waste. The candidate who wins in 2027 is the candidate with the most votes. People won’t vote for who they don’t know.
Most of you know this story, but none of you have heard it from me. Back in September 2018, Femi Hamzat wanted to be Governor of Lagos State. He had thirteen years of public service under Asiwaju and BRF, with the record and backing to win. Then party leaders asked him to step aside for me. It takes a rare man to put down what he wants without nursing a grudge. Femi shook my hand and five weeks later, agreed to run beside me. I have never forgotten that. Anyone can read a CV but only the person in the room with a man when the cameras leave can tell you who he really is. For 2,711 days, I have been in that room with him. When COVID-19 hit, when we faced our hardest weeks, when the Blue and Red Lines ran and when the Lekki Deep Sea Port opened, Femi was there. Long before any ribbon was cut, he was asking the tough questions an engineer asks. In many states, deputies are kept in reserve. On day one, Femi promised to be the best deputy governor in Lagos history. He kept his word. In seven years, there has not been a single day I wondered whose side he was on. We have had one government, one direction, and one voice. Lagos runs on a relay system. The baton is never passed to a runner standing still. You run at full speed inside the exchange zone, together, before the pass. That is how Lagos has been governed for 27 years, from Asiwaju to BRF, to Ambode, to me. Femi is a deputy governor like no other. He built the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge under Fashola, digitized government under Asiwaju and holds a doctorate in engineering. His father served Lateef Jakande. This is in his blood. Critics say Lagos keeps choosing from the same pool. I say Lagos trains its people. With major projects underway and a master plan stretching to 2052, this is not the time to experiment. What Femi presents today is not a campaign promise cooked up on a bus, it is the next leg of a race we have been running since 1999. Lagos does not hand the baton to a man standing still. Today, you have seen the man who is already running. Let us move forward together with The Lagos PROMISE.

I said this with my full chest until I could no longer endure the pain. 😂 About five days ago, I went to see a urologist. After a series of questions, we got to the part of the consultation I wasn't mentally prepared for. Doctor: "Please, take off your jeans." Me: (Reluctantly) 😭 He insisted there was no other way, so I complied. I took off my boxers too, and he asked me to walk over to him so he could examine my balls. At this point, my imagination had gone wild. I was already picturing this doctor putting my dick in his mouth and calculating the kind of beating I would give him if he tried anything funny. 😂😂 Anyway, after examining my balls, which were a little painful to touch, came the main event. Doctor: "I'll have to insert my finger into your anus to examine your prostate. It'll be slightly uncomfortable, and you may feel some pain." Me: "Haa! You mean my ass is about to get piped?!" 😭 Doctor: "It's necessary to examine your prostate." Omo! Na that moment I quickly lie down on the bed to collect my backshot. I had no choice. 😂 He applied lubricant around the entrance of my anus and inserted his finger. The finger was moving around until he finally located my prostate. Unfortunately for me, the moment he pressed it, I nearly saw my ancestors. The pain was something else! 😭😭 Apparently, my prostate was inflamed, and I was diagnosed with PROSTATITIS. I was placed on a two-month course of medication. Since that experience, I've been raining curses on all the gay men in existence, morning, afternoon and night. I can't believe I experienced this mini gayism in the name of medical examination. 😂😂 But jokes apart, guys, please take your health seriously. If you're experiencing persistent pain around your lower abdomen, groin, lower back or testicles, pain during ejaculation, or a burning sensation when urinating, please see a urologist. Not every genital or urinary problem is an STI. Sometimes, it's something entirely different. And please, don't wait until the pain becomes unbearable before seeking medical attention. Your health is more important than your pride. 😂
Ex ray can see your bone MRI can see your brain Ultra sound can see a baby in the womb But no machine can run my prostate examination. Doctor will have to finger my butt to carry out the test. 😒 I am not doing please. I will rather die like a warrior than let anything go inside my yansh

The exchange rate FX “subsidy” was a product of our declining productivity under Buhari that government failed to accept and became a massive racketeering opportunity. In the same period, budget deficit on ridiculous items was ballooned. In the previous years, did we have a massive gap in official and parallel rates? Why do we think managed float is subsidy? Is that not what most central banks do when they have reserves to back it up? The question should be about our productivity levers - oil, non-oil and sticky investments. Russia-Ukraine war gave us a buffet under Buhari and our currency was still weakening. It’s the first time in Nigeria’s history that oil price and currency appreciation diverged because we couldn’t bring oil production to table. Unfortunately, our aggregate oil production has remained stagnant since the 1980s. It’s just right that current administration worked hard to bring production up and kudos to them for finding incentives in a very competitive oil investment market. Then, raised rates to apply portfolio investment that might jump off anytime but has helped bring stability. My thought is that CBN should do what it needs to do. If we are gaining reserves, apply managed float for appreciation. Don’t make it sound like it’s inimical to do so. It’s partly a stability mechanism. I don’t know if N500 is possible (gradual discovery on better fundamentals can take us there) but it seems what passes as intellectualism these days is not to tinker with whatever we have going right now. That’s very elitist to say. Real labour wage growth will always take a long time to match current price levels, a major delay to macro-micro transmission that everyone talks about but hardly has an answer. We all have employees and we are trying to be ethical that what they go home with should mean more but seems we are glad to park money into FAAC, money that’s not targeted towards alleviating the social costs of current reforms. Selah.

Despite all of its challenges, Ethiopia managed to complete a national project - the Renaissance Dam, which will have a significant impact on its economic future. What is our "national project"? The "Lagos Coastal Road"? We don't take leadership seriously; some of believe that "Divine favour" will fully insulate us from the consequences of bad leadership. Even the Bible doesn't support that view - read Proverbs. Get ready to vote, and vote wisely.
