Alex and Alyssa Alhadeff were both 14 when they were killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Her mom @lorialhadeff could have stopped there. She didn’t. She built @MakeSchoolSafe8 and fought for a law with her daughter’s name on it. Alyssa’s Law puts silent panic alarms in schools. A teacher presses a button and police know right away. No phone to find, unlock and explain while it’s happening. Every minute matters in those first moments. We learned that the hardest way. 13 states have passed it, 3 this year. 37 still haven’t. On Oct 1 I told superintendents on an @AASAHQ webinar with @CENTEGIX: you have a voice with state legislators. Use it. Lori, thank you for never stopping! For Alex. And for all of them.
