Please, oh please, can the conservative populist whining about this is being a woke generation finally stop now.
Negligence of the highest order. What the hell happened to protecting vulnerable patients? Iβm telling you, if this were to happen to a family member of mine, Iβd attempt to sue the hospital, public health and government officials into oblivion.

A dear friend of mine who was about to be released from hospital after months there with leukaemia, that was finally in remission, contracted a respiratory virus and died there instead.

Question is are American voters so stupid as to fall for this?
Answer is probably.
I am pleased to have secured additional tariff exemptions products crucial to Maineβs agricultural industries, including blueberry, potato, apple, and seaweed producers.
Many of our farmers and growers rely on specialized equipment, packaging materials, and other products from Canada that are either unavailable from American suppliers or cannot be replaced without incurring significant expense.
In my repeated conversations with Ambassador Greer, Secretary Lutnick, and other senior Administration officials, I have asked for tariff relief for these important products and I will continue working directly with Administration officials to seek additional relief and encourage a broader trade agreement with Canada, our neighbor, ally, and largest trading partner.
Then what, if it works and sheβs re-elected? No guarantee he wonβt slap them back on after.
BREAKING:
The United States is expected to remove 50% tariffs on some Canadian products in a bid to help Maine Senator Susan Collins and other Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections.

ROGERS IS ABOUT TO CHARGE π¨π¦ FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF PAYING THEIR BILL.
You canβt make this stuff up.
Starting January 17, 2027, Rogers and Fido will introduce a 1.6% processing fee for customers paying their phone & internet bills by credit card.
On a $200 monthly bill, thatβs another $38.40 a year. Just for paying your bill.
And hereβs the kicker.
Quebec customers are exempt. Why? Because Quebecβs consumer protection laws prohibit these surcharges.
Apparently, consumers in the rest of Canada donβt deserve the same protection.
Remember, Telus tried this in 2022. Consumer backlash eventually helped push it to reverse course.
In 2022, Rogers said it had no plans to introduce a similar fee. Four years later, here we are.
This is what happens when competition is weak. Instead of fighting to win customers, companies find new ways to charge the ones they already have.
