Since Alpenglow went live on Oct 21, half of the new SOL issued for each Solana block goes to the validator that builds that block. Which validator builds each block is decided by a random draw, weighted by stake. Now, a single epoch can have higher variability. Comparing validators over 10+ epochs gives a clearer picture. Our first look at Solana staking rewards post-Alpenglow 👇 figment.io/insights/solana-s…

The team spent two days at MERGE Madrid, speaking with institutions about where digital assets are headed in Europe and beyond. 🇪🇸 We also hosted a small dinner for institutions in the space. Good company, long conversations, and yes, chocolate caviar.

Text messages with a machine, in and of themselves, are not criminal, immoral, or dangerous, for there is no victim, whatever the content. It is the very same thing as with thoughts—regardless of the content, no thought can be said to create a victim. • If someone steals info and feeds it into an LLM, it was the theft itself which created the victim, not the subsequent text message. • If someone uses the output of an LLM to hack a system, it is that subsequent hack which creates the victim, not the text message preceding it. • If someone threatens harm to themselves or others through messages into a machine, here still the messages themselves cannot be said to have created any victim. Imagining otherwise inappropriately reorients blame from its rightful place: the action of harm actually done by a perpetrator. Thinking harm =/= harm. As humans integrate AI as an extension of their mind, policing at the message layer means to increasingly police thought itself. Which company, which committee, do you trust to police your thoughts? Or do you simply want the thoughts of others policed, and not your own?
We’ve trained Claude to flag potential misuse in conversations, a technique we call self-assessment. Right after it responds, Claude gives a preliminary safety assessment of the conversation. Since we began using self-assessment in June, it has surfaced misuse that our other safeguards weren’t designed to catch. Because Claude has already read the conversation, self-assessment is very efficient. And unlike classifiers, which target a discrete set of harms, it draws on Claude’s own judgment, so it gets more accurate as our models improve. News: JPM Coin (JPMD), @jpmorgan's USD deposit token, is now live on @ethereum. JPMD extends from Base to Ethereum L1, giving institutional clients native onchain cash that sits alongside the assets, collateral and counterparties they transact with already. J.P. Morgan has now added a cash leg to the products it already live on Ethereum mainnet, with tokenized money market funds MONY and JLTXX both already on the network. Ethereum is the home of onchain finance.

Our Q3 2026 @solana Validator Report is live: Solana changed more in Q3 than in any quarter this year. Target slot times fell, and the network now produces 60% more blocks per minute than it did in June. Throughout Q3, Figment’s validators absorbed the changes without interruption. Alpenglow is targeted to go live on mainnet later this month. Sub-second finality and shorter unstaking windows are the two changes institutional stakers should be watching. Read below as we break down what Q3 means for Solana stakers 👇 figment.io/insights/figments…

A Proof-of-Stake network secures itself with the tokens staked to it. Validators commit that stake to validate transactions and produce blocks. The protocol rewards the providers doing it correctly, and penalizes the ones that aren’t. Our refreshed Staking guide, from @BradyOnchain 👇 figment.io/insights/the-role…

Replying to @cz_binance
@cz_binance I am not the only one saying it 😅🔥
As I've said many times, this makes no sense and provides a false sense of security. It's a shame that so many credible voices are now advocating for clear cases. Implants will get more compact and can be trivially hidden behind/inside screens, inside batteries, or even fully replaced PCBs that appear identical. The only correct approach is intense active anti-tamper features that make it virtually impossible to open the device, alongside a mobile app or onboarding experience that requires customers to use a trusted device (like their phones) to verify the integrity of the hardware wallet.
