I want to congratulate my nephew, Sam Forstag, who gives Montanans hope that this country can work for working people. I am beyond proud. And at this moment, I think of my parents, Warren (an Army veteran) and Joan, a woman who raised 8 kids on one paycheck. They believed that we should care for all people and we should work hard doing it. I have carried that legacy into Congress and I am beyond proud that the next generation will too. Congrats, Sam! Let’s get to work for working people.

“The election was a compete repudiation of his energy agenda,” said @loril , president of @ClimatePower. “The question is what comes next, and one thing he could do is stop blocking clean power that could help meet demand and lower costs.” nytimes.com/2026/11/04/clima…

There was no bigger nexus between cost-of-living & corruption than Trump’s illegal blockade against hundreds of clean energy projects while utility bills skyrocketed.
Trump needs to end his war on clean energy now, and every Republican left needs to answer for it until he does.

1/ A few thoughts on tonight’s election:
Voters made clear they demand a different kind of country. Americans want an economy that can compete globally and deliver for them at home.
And they made clear that they want leaders they can trust to fight for their constituents.

Because somebody is going to write something that annoys me tomorrow.
Data centers are an affordability story
Data centers are a corruption/power story
Data centers are a tech story
And yes, data centers are a climate/environment story

This is how I personally became invested in getting AI right — both the politics and policy. AI touches so many aspects of our lives, and tonight, voters are telling us they agree!
I was working with @ClimatePower polling data centers for the last year or so. When we started, it was a neutral issue. The move against it, particularly when powered by fossil fuels, was one of the fastest moving issues we've ever seen.

Looking like Dems will take control of the Georgia PSC.
Calling it.
Dems will flip Georgia's utility commission for the first time in 30 years.
Utility commission regulates the state's power giants like Georgia Power and Atlanta Gas Light #gapol

Ohio's Senate race saw datacenters become a big issue. Just check out the current status of the reporting Ohio ballot measures. 80-20 against datacenters, universally.

Replying to @ChrisPappasNH
@ChrisPappasNH calls out what voters across the country are fighting for tonight: New Hampshire families won't stand for data centers that pollute and harm our communities. That’s a message worth winning on.
This is one of the catches with issue ranking, it doesn't tell the actual story.
