Ireland in 2024, where is it impossible for non-Catholic children to avoid religion in almost 90% of our state-funded primary schools. With a further 6% being Church or Ireland and a meagre 4% multidenominational, our school system is not fit for purpose #edchatie #equalrespect

A sad day for Athlone with the loss of one of the greatest female politicians of our time. RIP Mary O'Rourke.

I have many years experience as an Architect in the housing sector. I intend to put my expertise to good use as a TD delivering solutions that build homes for current and future generations. We need to ensure everyone has a warm comfortable place to live in their local area.

If the private sector is not delivering in areas with a housing need then the next government must. I've decided to run because I want to take positive action and be a progressive and constructive voice for our communities.

To do this we need to address the deficiencies and inequalities in our communities, most cruically in housing, my main focus. Although the current government is delivering more homes than the last, there is still a huge gap between where we are and where we need to get to.

I have decided to put myself forward as an independent candidate for Longford Westmeath in the next general election. The constituency is where I grew up and now raise my family. I want to see the midlands progress over the coming years into the thriving beating heart of ireland

Little houses like these are absolute gems in our landscape. We need active management of our heritage structures... annual inspections by building owners and reporting on conditions.
#HeritageAtRisk Sexton's House, Castropetre Church of Ireland, Edenderry, Co Offaly (protected structure), an attractive small residence located on the avenue from the town's main st to the church (inset). Now longterm vacant & derelict, with significant vegetation growth to roof

As a single mother and a carer, I'm calling for a #YesYes vote this Friday. Although imperfect, both proposals are a step in the right direction, and aim to reflect the reality of Irish society in the 21st century. More: graceosullivan.ie/post/grace… @rodericogorman @greenparty_ie
