Thank God.
“frustrated”.
it seems to be the word for Trump WH authorized leaks about who he is thinking of getting rid of.
“Trump told Musk he was frustrated the system’s speeds remained capped at around 100 miles an hour, officials said. …
Trump has told aides and allies this week that he wanted to reverse the slowdown of Starlink, which Ukraine’s forces use to defend themselves along the front line, the officials said.”

How long before journalists in the White House pool start insulting Trump back? It's kind of amazing that they put up with it.
NOW: "You're a stupid person. And by the way, your network is the worst of all."
President Trump goes after an ABC News reporter questioning whether easing sanctions on Russia to secure an American prisoner's release amounts to giving Moscow something in return.
The tense back-and-forth comes after Trump insisted the U.S. "gave nothing" for Hubbard's release.

WATCH!! Ukraine is under another aerial attack as we speak, Kyiv’s chargé d’affaires in Washington says, questioning whether this is yet another of Putin’s “humanitarian missions.”
Greatful to be hosted by @OutFrontCNN and congratulate Mr. Hubbard and his family that he has been released. This is something that every Ukrainian would love to see with regard to their relatives captured by Russia. As I spoke with @CNN there was a Russian aerial attack at Ukraine – that might have been Putin’s another “humanitarian mission”…

You're right, of course. I think we could say those Republicans shamed him into the reversal, but it's not because he is actually capable of feeling shame. As always, it's self-interest.

The Trump administration first pulled the plug on intelligence sharing with Ukraine in March 2025. It’s been 19 months. Europe does not appear to be 19 months closer to coming up with an autonomous alternative.

Who is running America’s defense policy?
SpaceX is publicly traded. It's Board of Directors has the risk of personal liability for failure to do their fiduciary duty to protect the company--Elon has been a liability for a very, very long time. There's also government contracts with clauses. So many opportunities.

“The president and his top officials have spent a week facing questions about why Starlink was throttled and whether they ordered it. The slowdown began days after Trump and Musk both publicly criticized Zelensky for attacking Russian diesel refineries, which Trump blames for elevated energy prices. Trump has repeatedly denied giving the order or knowing who did. The Journal previously reported that he spoke with Musk hours after the slowdown became public.

One slight obstacle: DOJ has no legal authority over the certification of election results.
The Kremlinology here, so to speak, is pretty fascinating. Trump wants credit for ordering Musk to lift the restrictions on Starshield (that it seems plausible Trump had a role in giving Musk the nod for.)
(I could envision that this was part of how Rubio might have sold thr reversal to Trump. You get to be the hero.)

So he can seem like the good guy?? even though, as you point out, he almost certainly knew about and gave the okay for Musk’s actions?
Does Musk care that he then takes all the blame ( officially speaking only, since rat’l people will know he didn’t act unilaterally)?
I wonder what fall out will be for Starlink and Starshield internationally? What country would trust him after this??
Looks like @AmbDanFried was right when he predicted that Trump, facing strong GOP/bipartisan pushback, would probably find a way to back out of it, as he did on Greenland.

“I think that the pushback may be useful, and Trump, as he often does, lashes out, escalates, but then finds a way to finds a way to walk things back,” he said.
