An idea I've been playing with. Develop. A photo app that acts just like a film camera: film rolls, no instant previews, double exposures, you gotta wait for the film to develop, you get your photos in a beautiful envelope, each photo feels special. Save to your camera roll or send to a friend.

this model is actually insane at email classification
i tested it on 1500 of my own emails to see how well it works and I am blown away
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

My favorite similar app right now is Nine by @ltm. Pretty fun. apps.apple.com/us/app/nine-f…
RT @davidsven: The remains one of the most fun apps I’ve installed recently.

If you liked all my rope physics simulation with SwiftUI, I made an entire (free!) game out of it: Tethered. You play as a humble rope just trying to survive an onslaught of enemies using your own cunning and some very helpful powerups. It's launching RIGHT NOW!

Now that you can build anything, you’re faced with the question: what should you build?
The answer isnt “everything”. Do that and a more focused competitor eats your lunch.
AI enables distraction. Up to you to resist. See OpenAI. No more side quests.

I built this just for fun for a few friends but:
1. it's growing organically
2. people that installed and connected to a few friends use it every day
3. the #1 thing i hear from people is "I text my friends more now" which is perfect. Exactly what I hoped. Talk to your friends!
I built a tiny app last week. Pick 9 friends, take photos, they show up on each other’s home screens.
I shared it on TestFlight and it ended up being pretty fun. It’s in the App Store now.
It took Apple longer to review it than it took me to make it.

Immortality is attained by having children, leaving the world in a better place than you found it, and pushing the human frontier. Not by drinking “longevity mix powder”.

Absolutely not a hater, but I want to make a point (not in context of this interface but got reminded of something)
A lot of UI work is riding on the coattails of good images, assuming that all images found in SRP, PDP, image/photos apps, travel apps are going to look good. They’re not. I’d say it looks good only when your images are not doing constant heavy lifting on behalf of your UI. For such use cases, UI becomes a monumental signal to how the UX will be, how organised the information is
It’s equivalent of mockups elevating your overall brand collaterals
