this rocks, also, everybody should be getting ready for this but IRL in the next several years
I keep saying "this is the most excited I've ever been about a demo" but I mean they're cool demos! I've designed this NativeCAD Car entirely with generative AI and no human modeling command with Opus 5.5. Entirely within our own CAD kernel, meshers, and solvers. Fully within all FIA specifications and regulations. Over four thousand G4 continuous surfaces. The design includes manufacturing drawings, BOM, CFD, et cetera for the entire composite layout and construction. The latest release of NativeCAD (featureboard.ai/nativecad/we…) contains g4 and other high performance automotive features in our latest version of the world's best generative CAD. I'll have an incredible version of the car you can drive and inspect in a viewer yourself to share either tomorrow or the day after. Three tracks with AI opponents and realistic handling to test the car. Compare to Project CARS. Then also look out as we're shipping NativeCAD 0.30 with every single tool and workflow from this demo integrated so you can craft your own automotive monster. Any market for a racing game that's defined fully by whatever you can field within regulations? Confirm your CFD values with others and earn your designed car's place on the leaderboard. Let me know what you think in the comments!

the space program will be fine. Artemis is wildly popular on both sides. NASA funding is one of the few things that both sides want.

i beg and plead advocates of space industrialization to please act serious and stop pretending demand curves don't exist when they talk about asteroids containing $69 quadrillion worth of Bullshittium

opus 5.5.. may in principle be able to do character design? but I'm not smart enough to actually get it to do that

Sam, just like the Nestle guy who said "water is not a human right", is 100% correct
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

Qwen is getting its own BCI before us
1/4 Meet Qwenputer: Qwen3.5-4B with a full RISC-V CPU inside its weights, using the model's own Gated DeltaNet layers as RAM. It runs C and MicroPython in its forward passes, no external runtime. On DeepMind math: base 55–90%, base + Python tool 95–100%, Qwenputer 97.5–100%.

I've been vibe coding my dream game, a cozy wii-sports-resort-vibes version of flight sim-cade Death Stranding for the Steam Deck. currently working on improving landscape texture blending and incorporating sediment deposition modeling into the world generator

new interfaces are all that's going to matter once unlimited superintelligence is on tap. we're all bottlenecked on text atp, and it's just a march towards higher and higher bandwidth interfaces from here on out
Today, we're shipping real-time graphics. Using Sol 6.1 Ultrafast we can generate custom overlays, diagrams, and even interactive 3D scenes right on a user's screen, no chat. It's a new visual interface for AI. Here's me learning about LLMs + hardware. Demo:

This is the central dogma of the space industry, accepted uncritically by almost everyone until they pick up the phone to get a quote from a launch provider. A better request would be to start a company that lowers launch prices, which are going up @garrytan

so whats the plan for when robots do chores in every household --> adversary government backdoors into every robot --> exactly one weight clamped in every robot's decisionmaker model --> ???

was Steve Jobs secret sauce just prompting humans like LLMs, decades early? "Don't give up, believe in yourself!"
The first iPhone prototype had a plastic screen. Keys in Jobs pocket kept scratching it and he went beserk. So, Jobs asked Corning to make Gorilla Glass for iPhone. Corning CEO said timeline was impossible. Job told him, “Don’t be afraid, get your mind around it. You can do it.”

is seeking mathematical beauty a suboptimal heuristic, nothing more than the relief of sparse encounters with comprehensible utility in a gnarled, opaque jungle of power?
A pessimistic hypothesis for complexity theory: every simple and beautiful algorithm can be made log(n)^epsilon faster by making it incredibly ugly
