Unless something changes soon, you can expect to see more of this in Texas...
Another brewery is victim to Covid-19. @SkullMechanix made it official over the weekend that their doors are closing for good.

Thank you @GovAbbott for signing the #TABCsunset bill today, containing critical reforms for craft brewers including #BeerToGo! Starting September 1st, there’s going to be a whole lot more freedom for Texas craft brewers and consumers! – at Austin, TX

Regarding the last tweet. If you are for beer to go, you should be breathing a lot easier tonight. The last major group fighting it has officially signed on to it. Sure, it needs to pass senate, but with no one working against it, it should. – at Austin, TX

With the #TABCsunset bill & #BeerToGo now passed in the House & making their way over to the Senate, we'd like to thank the bipartisan group of Senators who have already demonstrated great support for #BeerToGo by signing on to #SB312. #TXlege #FixTexasBeerLaws

What a day.
A testament to all the people who have worked towards this goal for years.
We are not there yet, but remain focused on the finish line.
Today was a major victory. The #BeerToGo #TABCsunset amendment passed! THANK YOU to Rep @EddieforTexas, a tireless champion for Texas craft beer. We still have hurdles to clear in the Senate, with @DrBuckinghamTX leading the way, for #BeerToGo to become law. Stay engaged! #TXlege

Even with 14,500+ petition signatures, Bipartisan #HB672 hasn't even received a #TXlege committee hearing. So, our shot to #FixTexasBeerLaws comes this Thurs w/ an amendment to #TABCSunset. Please go to CraftPAC.org/action.
Urge your Rep to VOTE YES on a #BeerToGo Amendment!

34 joint/co-authors of HB 672 in the House. This kind of bipartisan support is rare in the Capitol! Let's pass #HB672 and show support for these #SmallBusinesses! #txlege

In TX it’s legal to visit a winery, distillery, or brewpub & purchase products to go. But walk into a Texas craft brewery & you are forbidden by law from purchasing to-go bottles, six-packs, or a growler. Help us #FixTexasBeerLaws! craftpac.org/contribute/ #TXlege 📸 @OakHighlands

It's primary time & we've had folks ask for a refresher on key beer votes last session. Now let's look forward! Whether you're voting for an incumbent or challenger, someone who's voted w/ us or against us, write your candidate & ask for support of the TX craft brewing industry!

"In fact, over time, the three-tier system itself promoted government favoritism, the beneficiaries of which are generally in one tier: the distributors." Check out this Op-ed: mystatesman.com/news/opinion… #FixTexasBeerLaws

"But the rise of craft beer is even better than the numbers suggest. Small breweries provide the kind of outlet for individual entrepreneurship and initiative that is often sorely lacking in today’s corporatized economy."
