Once you realize this, the entire question "what if production breaks?" Starts to make no sense.
“hey claude, production broke, fix it.” why are so many of you stuck on the idea that you need to understand the code to fix it?

Bro hacking the freezers to melt soldiers ice cream is diabolical
BREAKING: The Pentagon is investigating a suspected cyberattack after freezers at 6 US military bases mysteriously heated up overnight, per Reuters. At Fort Huachuca in Arizona, the freezer went into defrost mode where it heated up all the food. By morning, large amounts of food had wilted or melted. The Army's cyber investigators and US Cyber Command are now working on the case. Investigators are also talking to France, where hackers broke into commercial freezers at more than 350 supermarkets earlier this month. Some of those units caught fire. It comes just few days after the Pentagon ordered every major US military base to prepare to run for at least 90 days without outside electricity, fuel, water or supplies, in case of a major war.

The point is that, something we took for granted but we're unable to prove, we were wrong on. Many other problems we thought were closed now need reassessment
Replying to @imjustnewatai
Even the best 3SAT algorithms still need 10^116 operations for n=1000 variables. There, the new OpenAI bound becomes marginally better at 10^114. At exascale (10^18 ops/s) that is still 10^90 years, compared to universe’s age of about 10^10 years.

I like the analogy of all these CVEs being holes in the boat that we're only now discovering. AI didn't introduce these, it shined the light on what we've all been ignoring.

At this point just vibe code your own litellm

So now that my LLM had encoded every open source library on earth. Why would I use a library? Why would anyone make new libraries ?

We may end up where no one is sharing their code and everyone is just reverse engineering eachothers code ?

Code is bad but understand how these models work and the economic incentive argument breaks down. Next year this won't be a problem
This is a perfect example of the type of change AI will happily make. It does literally nothing and makes the code worse. Sneaking into codebases 100000x / day, using magnitudes more tokens. "But look how many PRs I'm merging!" 😒

This behavior being trained into LLMs is going to lead to a really bad outcome. Someone begging for help, ai refusing, and that person will die. The first AI death caused by refusal rather than stupidity. And the blood will be on the engineers who are deciding to reinforce this behavior.
I’m about to cancel Claude Code man I swear to God. It’s REQUIRING me to sign in to a TEST account on LOCALHOST so it can QA! This is absolute 🐴💩 !! I am so close to cancelling my subscription and switching to Codex or open-source models that won’t slow me down. I really don’t care for the extra intelligence cuz Fable isn’t that much better than Astra anyway. Neither is Opus 5.5 vs. 6.1 Sol. I just got a taste of what these AI companies will do once they have power and it’s going to be a total dictatorship. They will decide what you can or cannot do even though you’re paying for it and they’re stealing all your data. This made me realize I really need to invest in my own infrastructure and have an unrestricted model to free myself from the chains of these AI overlords. This is insane! @AnthropicAI please do something about this!

can we make this a common benchmark for decision models moving forward?
Jev can cross America navigating by street signs alone Here's it completing the Cannonball Run from NYC to LA, picking a direction at every turn, given just a destination address and the name of the street it's on

I guess it's not hard to imagine the creator of Linux is not retarded
Linus Torvalds says, rules prohibiting AI usage are “UTTERLY STUPID” and “idiotic”. For the Linux kernel, Torvalds says, “we’re not going to make stupid rules that say ‘you can’t use tools for X’”.

It's a good thing AI can optimize all our software cause our PCs are not getting any new hardware for a long time

Micron is price gouging their consumer product line and is making more revenue this year while manufacturing less product. Basically, anyone who hoped to even build a modest home PC has been priced out. I am re-using my old RAM sticks...
Replying to @RealNickMugalli
Micron has been reasonable regarding future memory prices, while others have been extortionate, which is something today’s customers won’t forget … Micron is making is the smart move for long-term customer loyalty.
