Excited to share my Masters project from the @daa_lab! We show that the #UnfoldedProteinResponse, and in particular PERK, helps coordinate ER expansion prior to cell division. Big thanks especially to @JulienBacal, @franzappa2 and @brookemeghan for helping me push this to the finish line!
I am so happy to be able to share @soham_ch0 and my work from @daa_lab! I spent a lot of my MA fascinated with understanding how and if the ER undergoes expansion throughout the cell cycle.

Had a blast working with @FrontYoungMinds on a paper about how the menstrual cycle is a *superpower*. I wish I knew this when I was younger & my hope is that today’s young minds will be empowered by, not ashamed of, their menstrual cycles!

In 10 years of studying tubeworms, we discovered novel molecular syringes, made evolutionary connections to the human gut microbiome, and founded a biotech startup @Metamorphotech1. Can't wait to see what the next decade has in store for us.
Could tubeworms hold secrets that advance genetic modification?
