Correlating with some other tweets, the issue seems to have been a supply chain attack to execute arbitrary code on the frontend to cancel/exit all trades (inflating gamblers’ balances) and exfiltrate them to attacker-controlled wallets.
Which: hoohah.
We've identified & fixed an issue impacting our international platform, Polymarket.com. One of our 3rd party providers was compromised, and we have referred this to relevant law enforcement.
Anyone who has been impacted will be made whole.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily halted trading & are working to bring the platform back online.

🇨🇦 Canadian Stocks: Investing or Speculating?
Canada's stock market capitalization reached 223% of GDP in September 2026, compared with a 20-year historical average of approximately 136%.
Our Economic Seasons Model suggests that a return to historical fair valuations would require a substantial adjustment.
At today's GDP level:
📉 33% decline to the upper fair-value boundary.
📉 39% decline to the historical midpoint.
📉 45% decline to the lower fair-value boundary.
These are valuation scenarios, not crash predictions.
Late in a financial cycle, investors increasingly depend on rising prices rather than attractive underlying valuations.
Markets can remain expensive for years. But the higher the price paid today, the lower the prospective long-term return, all else equal.
With a 5–10-year investment horizon, the question is no longer simply how much more stocks can rise.
It's whether the remaining potential reward justifies the capital at risk.
❄️ In Economic Winter, capital preservation becomes paramount.
