Figma shipped a silent patch specifically to kill figma-use — my open-source tool that did what they wouldn't: an MCP server that creates and modifies designs, JSX export, design linting. Then they scrambled to catch up with their own MCP server.
So I spent the weekend recreating @Figma from scratch.
OpenPencil: reads and writes .fig files, AI chat with full design tools, P2P collaboration with zero servers, ~7 MB app. No account, no subscription.
Three days, one developer, MIT license.

Underrated is true. People are sleeping per usual and stuck in old views of how to do things and don’t step back and see the innovation happening all around them.
Last night I was alpha testing @titlesxyz more, this time mixing my Neon Noir model with @GalverseAnime IP model and got this beautiful work that feels balanced between Galverse and my vibe.
All this done permissionlessly via very well trained AI models in a very short time. Royalties all on chain with attributions. I can mix more than two artist/brands also making infinite collaborative art with peoples models.
Right here is the start of the future of ai art in terms of ethical considerations of how artists art is used by us consenting to train, and royalties for work created no matter who mints it, and permissionless collaboration where anyone can create with an artist or brand without having to navigate a see of middle men and sociopaths trying to take everything they can.
I still haven’t even watched the anime and as an artist I’m a fan of Galverse for just being part of alpha for this innovative tool being built. I will watch it soon 🖤

I love @Deadfellaz and I know they’re inevitable because we’re working towards incredible things BUT I wanna shout out two other collections that I believe to be underrated that are really killing it without much web3 fanfare.
1. @ChimpersHQ - these guys are absolutely crushing TikTok, closing in on 1M followers and just sold out their plushy blind boxes.
2. @GalverseAnime - massive in Japan. Major collaborations including Nike & Tove Lo, incredible anime streaming on a major platform to rave reviews.
Both really lovely solid teams that haven’t quit or stopped building since launch.
