Yes. Let's remember that ChatGPT Pro 20 is esssntially becoming GPT Pro 10 in 3 days. Half the usage, for the same price. Absolutely disgusting, @thsottiaux No wonder people are mass exiting OpenAI products. @ChatGPT @OpenAI @claudeai @AnthropicAI
ChatGPT Pro users, don't forget that your usage limits are getting cut in half in just 3 days. Terrible news to be reminded of, of course. And the only way OpenAI can make this whole situation any less awful is by releasing a model that's as good as or better than Opus 5.5, while being way more efficient than the current GPT-6 Astra.

Yes.
I don't think people realise just how far ahead of other models Opus 5.5 is... And it's also cheap: $4 in / $20 out. 100% the best model release of the year.

I've always loved you Bryan. Keep sharing intimate details about your life. There. I think that deactivated it.
I have an AI agent that logs every negative comment someone makes about me online. It then creates a profile of the person, maps all of their social connections, and finds all their emails. Tomorrow morning, my AI agent will sent out an email blast to everyone's extended social network, detailing the horrible things they've said about me.

YES!! FINALLY COMPETING WITH... haiku lol
GPT-6.1 Terra: delivering fast and capable computer use at a lower price. GPT-6.1 Terra understands what’s on screen, takes action across apps, writes naturally, and is a more capable model for your whole workday with the efficiency to take on more of it.

I like them both. But, the Haiku result looks more like a game. And less like an AI test.
GPT-6.1 Terra (NEW) vs Claude Haiku 5.5, both on High. Same prompt: a red supercar driving through Miami at night, built from scratch in Blender. Top: GPT-6.1 Terra (10 min, ~$0.31) Bottom: Haiku 5.5 (22 min, $1.37)

Here is what GPT 6 Pro said so far about 6.1 Terra: The clearest comparison so far is Artificial Analysis: Terra scores 48 at maximum reasoning, while Opus 5.5 scores 51 at medium and 58 at maximum. Terra is substantially cheaper in those tests. The reactions are mixed too: there's praise for efficiency, but several developers are underwhelmed by the quality of the results. His "changed everything" claim goes well beyond that evidence. @OpenAI @ChatGPT @AnthropicAI @claudeai
Terra6.1 is new. And it changed everything

An OpenAI employee: Not a bombshell release."

6.1 Terra is fine. Really. It's fine. Not great. Fine. It's really good at computer use. I imagine the great reveal 6.1 Sol is coming. By which stage, Fable 5.5 will be covering OpenAI in dust. @OpenAI @ChatGPT @AnthropicAI @claudeai
Day 22/ Terra is back! Our first model that is significantly better at writing, personality and nuanced understanding of requests. Packs a punch across the board, very good at computer use, and gives 2X more usage than 6.1 Sol across API and subscriptions.

Read this sentence from OpenAI's Help Center very carefully: "Pro 200 moves to a lower included usage allowance (10x Plus) starting October 30, 2026, to reflect our increasingly efficient models." For a week, $200/month Pro users wondered what "increasingly efficient models" meant. Tonight we found out: 1. Four days before the 50% Pro cut (20x down to 10x Plus), OpenAI launches $1/$5 GPT-6.1 Terra. 2. In the release notes, OpenAI quietly swaps default Power presets in Work from GPT-6.1 Sol to GPT-6.1 Terra. 3. On @ArtificialAnlys Coding Agent Index, 6.1 Terra scores 48 (vs 54 for 6.1 Sol and 62 for Claude Opus 5.5). You still pay $200/month. Your allowance gets cut in half on Friday, and your default preset gets downgraded to a $1 model.

Why on earth would one even use this model 😭 it’s disappointing even on the basis of the benchmarks they chose to show off 🥀
GPT-6.1 Terra imminent …if anyone cares 🥱 reviving this line ain’t gonna cut it sorry

Over 3x faster than Sol and Astra and STILL slower than Claude Opus 5.5. OpenAI's speed-focused third-tier model vs anthropics most capable model. actually embarrassing.

Another nothing burger from OpenAI.
Alright, Sam, but where the hell is OpenAI's answer to Opus 5.5? Did Anthropic really release a model so ridiculously good at raw performance that nobody can beat it, even over a month later? This really isn't looking good for OpenAI. Dario said he was going to slow down, made a fool out of you, and then went ahead and surpassed you guys anyway.

Dude, we need a model better than Opus 5.5. No one cares about it being faster or cheaper. I barely touch my codex sub because there’s no real use for it anymore

if we’re being honest here, what does openai have going for them at this point? their products are poor, their infrastructure sucks and continues to get worse, and their models are lagging. 6.1 astra is going to have to be a big jump
