Advocates believe that the U.S., Israel, U.K. & Germany are pushing for @KarimKhanQC because he may shut down the ICC investigations into U.S. war crimes in Afghanistan and Israeli war crimes in Palestine. We need to know where this candidate stands on at least these two issues.

So this video accompanies film of someone using sound to put out a fire with a superimposed rock track that drowns out what you can actually hear? 🤡
A high school girl in Mexico just won a gold medal for putting out fires with a speaker. It plays one deep, low hum and the flames die in about 5 seconds. DARPA tried the same idea back in 2012 with a rig so big and clunky they never took it any further, and hers runs on a 12-volt battery and a speaker she can carry around. Sound is just air being pushed back and forth. A low note at 30 hertz means the air around the flame is flipping direction 30 times every second. Flames only exist in a thin layer where fuel vapor mixes with oxygen. Shake that layer hard enough and it keeps getting stretched thinner, the heat gets pulled away faster than the flame can make more, and eventually the flame rips right off the fuel. Whatever tears off is too cool to keep burning, so it just goes out. DARPA's report put a number on how little it takes. Once the air at the flame is moving about half a meter per second, which is barely a breeze, the flame goes out, and pretty much any pitch can get there if you crank the power high enough. Low notes just get you there way cheaper, because a speaker moves a lot more air on each push when the pitch is low. Two engineering students at George Mason figured this out by trial and error in 2015. They started with super high pitches, 20,000 to 30,000 hertz, and all the flames did was shiver. It only worked once they dropped down to 30 to 60 hertz, which is basically the bass on a hip-hop track. Ángela Karime's build is a 12-volt battery, a frequency generator, an amplifier and a speaker, tuned to 30 hertz. She named it Vortex Tech and talks about it shooting out little rings of air, and that's real physics. When loud, low sound gets pushed through a narrow opening, the air curls up into rings like a smoke ring, and those rings carry a puff of air way farther than the sound would get on its own. In her tests it put out small flames from about 2 meters away. She went through five prototypes and over 100 tests in about a year, and she says it's put out burning wood, flammable liquids, electronics and cooking oil. The cooking oil one is a big deal. Throw water on a grease fire and it flashes into steam and flings burning oil all over your kitchen, which is exactly the kind of fire where you'd want something that doesn't put anything into the pan. Now, sound can't cool anything down, so a big fire sitting on red-hot fuel can come right back the second the speaker shuts off. The George Mason guys worried about the same thing in 2015, and it's why this is still a prototype for small flames and the red extinguisher under your sink isn't going anywhere yet. Space might end up being where this matters first. Up there water floats off in blobs, while sound works the same with or without gravity, and acoustics researchers have already published experiments on fighting fires with sound on spacecraft. She's still in high school, and she's already working on a version that spots a fire and puts it out by itself. The gold in Indonesia also came with a special award that gets her into another international competition.

New report and campaign: UK Lawyers for Israel cries wolf, and it has no credibility left. Of the 14 complaints it made about charities where we could find the outcome, the Charity Commission found nothing against the charity in 11. UKLFI showed its inhumanity when its chief executive suggested Israel's starvation of Gaza could help reduce obesity there. Now it keeps reporting the charities trying to feed and treat Palestinians in Gaza. Every complaint has to be answered, often by volunteers. Most then come to nothing. UKLFI's credibility is so bad, the press often buries who is behind the complaints. When the Charity Commission opened its case into MSF, none of the five reports we read put UKLFI in the headline. The Telegraph first named it in paragraph five. None of the reports on the MSF case we read told readers how UKLFI's earlier complaints had ended. Now look at UKLFI's ties to the Israeli occupation: - Its home page carries a thank-you from a "senior Israeli intelligence officer": "Thanks to your continuous efforts you have achieved the goal that the State of Israel was trying to get since 1997." The goal was a British aid charity for Palestinians, which UKLFI says lost its banking after UKLFI wrote to its banks. - On 6 May 2021 Israel's Foreign Ministry accused a Palestinian health provider of sending donors' money to the PFLP. The same day UKLFI sent the allegation to the provider's British funder, which stopped the funding that day. - A leaked Israeli Ministry of Justice note, reported by Middle East Eye, says the Turners who run UKLFI asked a senior ministry official for "assistance in finding or validating evidence that will help them" while a British aid charity was taking legal action against UKLFI. Jonathan Turner said he could not recall the meeting. - A month into Israel's total block on aid to Gaza, UKLFI's own charity hosted an official of COGAT, the Israeli Ministry of Defence unit that controls that aid, for a webinar called "Did Israel Starve Gaza Civilians?". - An Israeli minister says its legal director "successfully represents Israel". UKLFI says it is "not linked to the Israeli government". Its MSF dossier, sent to the Home Secretary "for consideration under the Terrorism Act", rests on staff "identified by the Israeli authorities". The Charity Commission has three inquiries open into charities over alleged links to Iran. It has not said whether a charity that gave Israel's Ministry of Defence its platform raises the same concern, and it keeps opening cases on UKLFI's complaints. It seems there is one standard for Iran and another for the Israeli occupation. We set out every complaint, every outcome and every link to the Israeli occupation, each with its source: newscord.org/editorials/uk-l… Also, in under a minute, you can ask for an update on the Charity Commission investigation into UKLFI, which launched last year: newscord.org/action/uklfi-ch…

A Campaign Against Antisemitism steward was filmed by Al Jazeera offering to provide “muscle” at a rally organised by Turning Point UK, a far right group that Al Jazeera revealed to have links to Loyalist paramilitary contract killers. The CAA was already thoroughly discredited last December when a judge ruled a case it had brought against the comedian Reginald Hunter was “vexatious” and “abusive” and aimed purely at getting him “cancelled”. So horrified was the judge by their behaviour he instructed a copy of his ruling to be attached to any future legal action brought by the CAA. It is astonishing the CAA still has charitable status and more astonishing still that the BBC interviews it as being representative of the Jewish community. What if the game theorists, economists and political scientists have got it all wrong and voters are not guided in their choices by rational thought at all, but by vague superstitions, rumours and fears? Is universal suffrage all it's made out to be?
NEW: MAGA voters say they're going to the polls to fight “communism”—but when asked what communism actually means, things get awkward FAST. In The Daily Show's upcoming special “Red Flags,” Jordan Klepper puts Republican voters on the spot with one simple question. Their answers are something else. These two minutes are worth watching. See for yourself!

Is this statistically likely? Or are we watching a political thriller film in real life? In light of his recent comments, would anyone put it past Trump and his MAGA goons to orchestrate a campaign of terror against Democrats?
Three Democratic female candidates for Congress have been hit by cars over the past few days. Peltola, a woman running for Congress in TN, and a woman running for Congress in OH.

This is as near to an independent official verdict as the world has right now - Israel is committing genocide in Palestine. This is a fact and anyone denying it is no longer engaging in reasonable debate but is complicit in the genocide. The world needs to move on from that point
Today’s UN report stated that Israel uses torture and rape to attack Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and—like in Gaza—they DELIBERATELY KILL CHILDREN. You have to be sick to still defend this.

How is this police officer not committing contempt of court by publicly trying to bolster his position when the case is live? Or is it just that the police think they are above the law? #RAFFairford #fairford
UK Counter Terrorism Policing chief Laurence Taylor suggests the RAF Fairford suspects were released on bail as part of a tactical move by investigators to collect more evidence, which he says was successful “We know that decisions made during our investigations can sometimes appear illogical to those on the outside, but I want to make it very clear, that there will always be good reason, or rationale behind them. We will always ensure that, should we identify any ongoing threat, we will manage that as part of the investigation. “Like our adversaries, our tactics vary – and may not always be obvious. “In this case, this decision-making has led to swifter progress, better evidence and ultimately us securing the charges I have announced today. “In sensitive investigations like this, it can take time to convert intelligence, into evidence and that is what scores of my officers and staff have been doing over the last few weeks.”

Like Madeleine, cadenza, cadet, ladette, maderise, Tradescant...?
It is very odd that they can't pronounce it. A native English speaker should instinctively know that a following "e" means you pronounce the "a" as in grade, spade, or blade. As they would pronounce the first syllable of any other word or name beginning with bade.

Little by little, the government introduces more and more control over what citizens can do, say and think - they put a policeman in every room of your house by stealth and "progressives" cheer, until they realise they're in a cage of their own making #LabourLiars 🐑🐑🦃🦃🦃
Did you know that on the 6th of November 2026 the UK Government is banning the publication and possession of pornography depicting breath play, age-play, and incest? The maximum sentence for publication offences is five years imprisonment. This will affect publishers and consumers globally. The offences are, in simple terms: 1. Strangulation or suffocation. (2 years for possession, 5 years for publication) 2. Penetrative sexual activity between people pretending to be related. (2 years for possession, 5 years for publication) 3. Sexual activity between two people where (a reasonable person would think) at least one person is, or is pretending to be, under sixteen. (3 years for possession, 5 years for publication) I have provided criminal and obscenity law advice to UK and global creators, producers, platforms, and consumers on pornography publication and possession offences since 2006. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] for formal legal advice. gov.uk/guidance/crime-and-po…

You're seeing this and think the poster is a **** using AI to gaslight you as CPS and police couldn't be that stupid, right? But it's true, according to the linked photo from the Sun (yes, I know, but it is a mainstream paper). It's the government who are gaslighting #RAFFairford

I wonder if people currently condemning "inbreeding" (by which they mean cousin marriage) on here also condemn people with hereditary disabilities marrying and having children? If not why not? Thought of this recently seeing a man with a hearing aid with a toddler who had one too

‼️A new UN report exposes how influential international media outlets distorted public understanding of Israel’s conduct, facilitated genocide, and obstructed accountability. Its key recommendation is simple: Media organisations must stop laundering propaganda through the journalistic form. Read the report here: docs.un.org/en/A/81/249

Rupert Lowe admitting he is a racist - now maybe his thug followers can stop denying they are racists, as they lay siege to places they think are housing asylum seekers? The last obstacle to truth is them all admitting they are far right.
I believe that all NHS staff should speak fluent English - if they are unable to string a sentence together in our language, then they have no place working in our hospitals. To be frank, they shouldn't even be living in our country. If that makes me a racist, then so be it.
