the problem i’m having is that my fundamental belief is that fanfic is meant for exploring any kind of concept w/ any level skill & writers are allowed to write abt whatever they want but it’s hard to stand by these beliefs when everyone only writes things that piss you off

the “tlg critical” tag + similar tags were born out of constant misrepresentations of the events of the book. the issue is not that they are ooc lmfao every fandom is subject to ooc fanfic.. it’s that these are being framed as corrections to canon by the writers & readers
