Religion is a personal thing ONLY in a truly secular state. In a State where religious identity determines access to social welfare, education and degree freedom to manage religious institutions it is only normal to vote along religions lines

— No communist revolution (in fact, a brutal takedown of naxal revolutionaries)
— No extractive colonisation from other nations
— No benevolent dictatorship
— No sucking up to and becoming a client of any Western state
— No Civil War or Division
Just the gentle march of democracy and capitalism tampered by state handouts
India shall always be the graveyard of western political and economic theories.
A nation with a diversity much more than that of the Balkans or the USSR, but also much more poorer, lifted half a billion people out of extreme poverty in less than fifteen years without getting balkanised or undergoing a radical revolution. India is not appreciated enough for what it did and what it can do.
India saw about 496 million people lifted out of poverty between 2011 and 2023 in one of the world’s fastest declines in this metric, the World Bank said, although the gains remain uneven. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

India can become superpower in 20 years but only if BJP lose next elections. If BJP is out of power for 2 years India will become the next germany.

Waiting with bated breath for the @thenewsminute piece by @dhanyarajendran slamming the actions of Neha’s parents, much like how they stood up for Hadiya (formerly Akhila Ashokan) against her parents
Dazzle us, Dhanya!
Kerala is often called one of India's most progressive states, but I'm hearing this news from Bigg Boss Malayalam,
Neha Fathima's parents reportedly came on stage to take their daughter back after she proposed to a Hindu contestant, Santhosh Raj.
Is this really what happened, or is there more context to the story?
People from Kerala, please explain what's actually going on here. I don't understand Malayalam,
@grok can you translate what they're saying and explain the context?

Had to mention a meaningless apology, when Tytler continued to be a senior leader, and a puppet PM to try and show that Congress made amends…
I still can’t believe a political party was massacring Sikhs on the streets of Delhi and literally no action was taken.
Your tweet is offensive to be honest
November 1, 1984: A day we must never forget. In the anti-Sikh pogrom that followed Indira Gandhi’s assassination, over 3,000 Sikhs were killed, largely in Delhi, under a Congress government at the Centre. Yes, the Congress formally apologised in Parliament and India later had a Sikh PM in Dr Manmohan Singh. But neither can substitute for JUSTICE. Decades later, far too few convictions, far too many perpetrators escaped punishment. The families of the victims still await closure. This has been an all-too-familiar story in India’s history of mass violence. 🙏
Notice how this is framed. A nebulous Congress.
Not Rajiv Gandhi who had the biggest majority India had seen and who made that earth shakes comment.
The same leeway isnt granted to Modi for 2002 despite courts clearing his name. Then its not the BJP or Gujarat govt. But Modi

Bullsh*t with a capital B!
Kerala should be modelling itself after “land scarce” places like Penang and Batam
Penang’s electronics industry output is ~$100 billion and most of it is produced in an industrial zone that’s about 7,000 acres
How much land does the various churches in Kerala own?

Archbishop Peter is openly demanding that Karnataka fully repeal the anti-conversion law and cow-slaughter protections, while also pushing a hate-speech law.
1. The Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Act, 2022 does not ban voluntary conversion. It only prohibits conversion through force, fraud, misrepresentation, undue influence, coercion, allurement, or promise of marriage. So is the Archbishop effectively asking for a free hand to convert people by force or fraud?
This is not merely about “religious freedom.” Unchecked conversion drives demographic change, and demographic change is a national security issue.
2. As for the hate-speech bill, it is already in cold storage for a reason, it directly undermines the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India. No further explanation is required.
The demand is clear remove every check on conversion and cow slaughter while criminalising criticism. That is not minority rights. That is an attempt to dismantle the majority’s cultural and demographic protections in its own state.
#OAATTTDHTDHTM @karanrajan did I get it correctly?
Have to give credit to the lawyers for Ram Lalla who exposed these frauds back then, when being pro Dharma was not easy and likely career ending.

His last article .. apparently Rahul is dominating every debate
The Self-made opposition stalwart: Fascinating analysis by Khalid Akhter in @frontline_india argues that @RahulGandhi 's "emergence as a more credible national challenger to Modi suggests that he may be mastering an art of opposition that was never part of his political inheritance":

If it took him 12 years to start to learn how to become an opposition leader, imagine how long it'll take to learn to govern. He can stay as opposition leader and perfect it. Or someone more capable can dethrone him.
But that isn't part of the INC's inherited legacy is it cheta?

And this shows. Go to any Shell petrol pump at 2 am, there will be a crowd in the 24 hr coffee shop.
Chennai is the only city possibly in the country where malls are absolutely and completely packed. Like you can't even walk levels.
Random places like the Rams coffee shop in Anna Nagar have 100+ people waiting outside it at 0200 hrs.
Chennai / TN needs to recognise the need for retail spaces and equally important, stop this insane 18th century thinking of the police that the city needs to shut down after 10 pm.
There's a crazy demand for late evening spots and that's not just restricted to pubs / clubs.
The state needs a lot more retail options, it needs a freer night life (NOT JUST PUBS) policy. It needs to join the Indian metro mainstream from 2010.
🏙️ Malls opened to public during 2021-26🛍️
I know we are bad. I didn't know we are this bad that AAI mall is the only thing that opened in last five years. 🙃🙏
🌳 #Bengaluru: 5+ | Phoenix Mall of Asia (1.2M sf)💎
🏎️ #Pune: 2+ | Phoenix Mall of the Millennium (1–1.2M sf)🚀
🚢 #Mumbai: 3+ | Jio World Plaza (750,000 sf)🗼
🛰️ #Hyderabad: 2+ | Lakeshore Mall (1.6M–1.66M sf)🛒

Chennai needs more malls and entertainment options. 🥂
