Everyone is presumed innocent. Now look at the org chart. The alleged kingpin is an accounting major. Dean's List. The New York Post reported he had a passion for numbers and financial storytelling. He does. Prosecutors call it the top of the food chain. The AG's own filing nicknames him Pablo Pledgescobar, which means somebody in that office is having the week of their life. Distribution allegedly ran through a Human Resources and Management major. Personnel. Delegation. Managing downstream staff. Early distribution, another accounting major, who allegedly tried to buy out of the partnership in late 2023. He attempted a structured exit. From a cocaine business. That is a finance degree in action. Sourcing, a third accounting major, who allegedly had a supplier in Philadelphia. Three accountants. The books on this thing were probably immaculate. Packaging and weighing allegedly fell to a Supply Chain Information Systems major, which is the single most on the nose detail in the entire filing. The man was doing his homework. Alongside him a Chemical Engineering major, on quality control, obviously. And an Energy Engineering major on delivery. Logistics. Call them what you like. Snow White and the Seven Majors. The Bolivian Business School. The Rocky Mountain Oyster Club. Personally I am partial to the White Powder Consulting Group, LLC, because based on those transcripts they had the credentials to incorporate. Now the part that is not funny. Penn State is the school that has not shaken the nickname Pedo State, and it did not earn that from students. Jerry Sandusky, assistant football coach, convicted in 2012 on forty five counts of child sexual abuse. The Freeh report found that the university's most senior leaders concealed allegations for more than a decade to avoid bad publicity. Graham Spanier, the university president, was convicted of child endangerment. Fourteen years and that name still turns up in every rival student section in the Big Ten, because that is how long institutional cover ups last in public memory. And the irony sitting on top of all of it. Penn State is famous for plain white uniforms. No names on the back. No logos. The whole tradition is that nobody is bigger than the program and nobody stands out. Two things about that turn out to be true. Nobody stands out. And the program is very good at making sure nobody's name is on anything. The white was supposed to mean humility(not cocaine). 🦋
