Those who have received kindness and mercy from the Lord ought to show mercy to others.

A good theology of suffering doesn’t just state that God is sovereign in pain and loss, but that God orders loss and pain for our good and for his glory.
A good theology on suffering teaches Christian to say “Naked I came from my mother’s womb and naked shall I return…The Lord gives and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

I encourage young people to take on the adventure of marrying "blemished", "wrinkled", and "incomplete" lovers whose lives are clearly far from perfect.
The thrill of marriage isn't doing life with someone who doesn't need to improve.
Rather, it's loving a "diamond in the rough" and getting each other polished until the glory and brilliance of Jesus shine brightly in each other.
Once you're certain that your partner is under the government of Christ and that God has a firm grip on their will, you can be sure that you will enjoy the process of participating in their growth and improvement, and you will experience the satisfaction that comes with being God's agent of pruning and polishing.
This doesn't mean you should marry a spouse whose values and convictions about God, family and life are contrary to yours and hope to change them.
It means you should stop looking for a partner who has everything figured out and instead take up the challenge of being a loving contributor to your spouse's betterment and perfection.

The Gospel changes everything. If you believe EVERYONE is IMAGO DEI, as in having the very image of God, it changes everything.
1. You will denounce tribalism/racism.
2. You will see all peoples as valuable irrespective of your biases.
3. You will not think less of yourself because you are from a racial minority
4. You will not anchor your ethnic/tribal/racial group as superior.
5. You will not be able to harm anyone or group of people from another racial group.
6. You will have a healthy self image, a radically better view of yourself, andd a perfect anchor for your identity.
Again, because Christians think out the implications of what they believe, there's no way you can be a Christian and be racist/tribalist, it's not compatible with your faith.

"For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake." (2 Corinthians 4:5)
But why Paul would you not preach yourself? One can understand why Timothy won't (he's a mere pastor), but you're different. You're an apostle. You have seen the Lord. You have healed the sick and rebuked a lady with a spirit of divination. Surely, this qualifies you to preach yourself. Surely the churches and her lowly members need to be mesmerized by the divine encounters you have had. Surely, your unique experiences need to be heard so that the hordes of hell will cower. Surely...
But alas, Paul knew better! Why? It's rather simple... he was but a wretched sinner saved by a great God! Those who have THIS divine encounter do not preach themselves but Him, even the Lord Jesus Christ, and themselves as bond-servants for Jesus' sake.

Emotional ecstasy and theatrical displays are far too often mistaken for living a life filled with the spirit, but what does the scripture say concerning the spirit?
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25 KJV

If you want designer marriage counseling, then pay designer money. If your biblical local church elder no do you, then pay for celeb kaunselo. It was on this app you people said pastor without safitikate shunor be doing marriage counseling. Abeg safitikate no cheap. Pay up. 😌
As Sammie used to say when he was here, “In the Nigerian church, the bar for discernment is in hell.” It is why I am never impressed by large church gatherings in this land.
False teachers and false prophets are greatly celebrated in Nigeria, and many times, they have links to and influence among the political elite. You barely ever hear many of those you revere as pastors speak about the evil in this land.
If you know anything about the Bible, this is what the judgment of God over a hard-hearted people looks like. The church has lost its saltiness, which was its purpose all along: to bear fruits of righteousness that glorify God.
Now, we are in the business of building empires and chasing mountains of influence while our people perish in their sins. People will cleave more to these men than they would to the truth of God’s Word because those men embody their ungodly cravings. So they are not merely victims of false teachers, but participants in their own destruction.
We need to repent as a people quickly and turn away from our idolatry. We have esteemed men above God’s Word, and rightfully so, we have become blind and consumed with all kinds of perversion. We must return to the purity of the gospel; that great message that compels true righteousness and holiness in the lives of God’s people. Anything but this and our sorrows will multiply.
Even this feels like an understatement because she's beautiful in ways that go far beyond what the eyes can see! 🥺
My sister in the Lord, a daughter of God, and one of the most precious gifts God has graciously brought my way. 🤲🏼
