yeah, like you can USE your wrist, but i dont recommend relying on just your wrist/fingers to get lines. it limits your movement too much, relying on the elbow is much better
- also practice just doing lots shapes too, like just do a couple pages on scrap paper of long lines or drawing like a wave pattern with long lines that turn into curves, also circles, stuff like that.
oh and doing warmup doodles too!
i recommend looking into how painters processes are, they use their elbows a lot more and ive found it to help a lot. generally trying to use your elbow, wrist and shoulder to get longer smooth lines rather then moving just your fingers.
