I have lost faith in Safdarjung Government Hospital.
The hospital told us @Wangchuk66’s potassium had dropped to 2.9, describing it as alarming and life-threatening. Yet, in its public health bulletin, it conveniently omitted the actual number, referring only to "decreasing potassium levels." When after 10 hours and repeated requests, they allowed us to take samples of his blood at 10.30 pm, an independent laboratory test reported 3.5, well within the normal range.
Despite repeated requests, the hospital has refused to discharge him or allow us to shift him to a private hospital of our choice. With around 30 police personnel stationed on our floor and well over 100 across the hospital, our movement is severely restricted. It is not medical care. It is illegal detention.
If anything happens to Sonam, the hospital authorities and the government must bear full responsibility.
I have therefore moved the High Court and sought an urgent hearing today, praying for permission to shift Sonam before his health deteriorates further. No family should have to fight the system simply to choose where their loved one receives medical care.
all around me wallets keep getting rewarded.
mine was apparently created for character development.

I have to say this interview changed my life. Hearing how Boris thinks about software spurred me to work much harder on releasing my own way of doing things and on iterating fast on how I build. Hard to believe it has only been a month since this one.
A very special guest on this episode of the Lightcone! @bcherny, the creator of Claude Code, sits down to share the incredible journey of developing one of the most transformative coding tools of the AI era.
00:00 Intro
01:45 The most surprising moment in the rise of Claude Code
02:38 How Boris came up with the idea for Claude Code
05:38 The elegant simplicity of terminals
07:09 The first use cases
09:00 What’s in Boris’ CLAUDE.md?
11:29 How do you decide the terminal’s verbosity?
15:44 Beginner’s mindset is key as the models improve
18:56 Hyper specialists vs hyper generalists
21:51 The vision for Claude teams
23:48 Subagents
25:12 A world without plan mode?
28:38 Tips for founders to build for the future
30:07 How much life does the terminal still have?
30:57 Advice for dev tool founders
32:11 Claude Code and TypeScript parallels
35:34 Designing for the terminal was hard
37:36 Other advice for builders
40:31 Productivity per engineer
41:36 Why Boris chose to join Anthropic
44:46 How coding will change
46:22 Outro
Here’s how we know if we achieved AGI. Every single response from a model blows @karpathy mind. That’s it. That’s the test.

After a certain age, your parents slowly become your children.
They ask simple questions, repeat stories, and depend on your patience the way you once depended on theirs. Very few understand this role reversal. What looks like innocence or inconvenience is really time coming full circle. Don’t correct them harshly. Don’t rush them. Care for them the way they once protected you. This is not a burden. It is repayment, quietly wrapped as love.

Help me get more reach so I can help people to learn tech. $UNFUN with non-working anti bundle tech at 500k, stop sending larps. Their "antibundle" coin has 20% bundle right now.
If my name grows, it would also help $DISNEYFY. I'm preparing a high quality post on recent meta in 1 hour, help me spread.
Thanks.

Trenches needed a new meta, Snowball is bringing that. This is a whole new meta, and shining star is Snowball itself.
I hope people realize this is a huge solution instead of fading just because they missed a good entry.

Last quarter I rolled out Microsoft Copilot to 4,000 employees.
$30 per seat per month.
$1.4 million annually.
I called it "digital transformation."
The board loved that phrase.
They approved it in eleven minutes.
No one asked what it would actually do.
Including me.
I told everyone it would "10x productivity."
That's not a real number.
But it sounds like one.
HR asked how we'd measure the 10x.
I said we'd "leverage analytics dashboards."
They stopped asking.
Three months later I checked the usage reports.
47 people had opened it.
12 had used it more than once.
One of them was me.
I used it to summarize an email I could have read in 30 seconds.
It took 45 seconds.
Plus the time it took to fix the hallucinations.
But I called it a "pilot success."
Success means the pilot didn't visibly fail.
The CFO asked about ROI.
I showed him a graph.
The graph went up and to the right.
It measured "AI enablement."
I made that metric up.
He nodded approvingly.
We're "AI-enabled" now.
I don't know what that means.
But it's in our investor deck.
A senior developer asked why we didn't use Claude or ChatGPT.
I said we needed "enterprise-grade security."
He asked what that meant.
I said "compliance."
He asked which compliance.
I said "all of them."
He looked skeptical.
I scheduled him for a "career development conversation."
He stopped asking questions.
Microsoft sent a case study team.
They wanted to feature us as a success story.
I told them we "saved 40,000 hours."
I calculated that number by multiplying employees by a number I made up.
They didn't verify it.
They never do.
Now we're on Microsoft's website.
"Global enterprise achieves 40,000 hours of productivity gains with Copilot."
The CEO shared it on LinkedIn.
He got 3,000 likes.
He's never used Copilot.
None of the executives have.
We have an exemption.
"Strategic focus requires minimal digital distraction."
I wrote that policy.
The licenses renew next month.
I'm requesting an expansion.
5,000 more seats.
We haven't used the first 4,000.
But this time we'll "drive adoption."
Adoption means mandatory training.
Training means a 45-minute webinar no one watches.
But completion will be tracked.
Completion is a metric.
Metrics go in dashboards.
Dashboards go in board presentations.
Board presentations get me promoted.
I'll be SVP by Q3.
I still don't know what Copilot does.
But I know what it's for.
It's for showing we're "investing in AI."
Investment means spending.
Spending means commitment.
Commitment means we're serious about the future.
The future is whatever I say it is.
As long as the graph goes up and to the right.
