This whole h3 Ethan and Hila Klein thing has been stuck in my head I wish Hila and the kids nothing but health, wealth, and happiness; and I wish Ethan to reap what he sewed But, like… Through thick and thin, if there was ever a YouTube couple that would stick together…

I feel like Ethan’s rise and fall over the past 20 years should be documented and studied
Ethan Klein will never recover from what he lost.

Its pretty wild to think how much of the modern internet’s life has been dominated by Trump-era politics The flash browser plugin was still heavily used Facebook was just exiting its virtual pet phase Being a blogger was still a viable profession We just wrapped up #bendgate

Just another reminder that social media is not representative of the of the real world, just a chronically online extremely loud minority

On this date in 1990, gaming history was being written. The team that would become id Software sent this letter to Apogee’s Scott Miller, describing the technology behind Commander Keen as an “engine,” a term that would become fundamental to game development.

Surprise surprise, LLM-assisted coding only works as it should when the programmer actually understands what they heck they're doing...

Say it again for the people in the back, and up high in the nosebleeds away from the bullpen
I don’t know who needs to hear this but you still need to know how to read and write code as an engineer 👩‍💻 The skills aren’t obsolete because of agentic coding tools. In fact, they’re more important than ever.

I remember leaving a boutique web shop after 5 years, and within a couple months every project I had spent countless hours painstakingly dev'ig from scratch get replaced with generic wordpress installs and eventually go offline When your work is THAT ephemeral.. it affects you.
Nobody talks about the psychological damage of watching something you spent 15 years learning become a button.

Im confused by the sudden Newgrounds/oney fiasco, but specifically why Tom chose now to delete an account. They've left up literal mass murderers accounts for "history"

You know those big emotional verbal arguments that people have in movies and shows. It’s always so funny to me because they’re never in any way realistic. Adults conflict response in two ways: 1. Repeating the same thing, louder and louder 2. Turning around and storming away

The efforts to convert my entire technology stack from PHP Symfony and Nginx, to Java Spring Boot, has been an enormous success. Serving millions of users on 6x less the resources by switching to Java has been a beautiful experiment to fulfill. And we're just getting started
