This woman has had it with all of us who still can’t fold a fitted sheet.
She’s yelling the whole time like she’s personally offended that some of us are still out here balling them up and shoving them in the closet. It feels exactly like my mom teaching me for the 100th time while I stand there pretending I understand.
Fitted sheets remain my greatest enemy… and she’s not letting any of us off the hook.
Be honest… are you still just balling yours up?
Life is too short to fight with a fitted sheet, just ball it up and hide it under your nicely folded flat sheet. That's what I think.

Heavenly Father,
I come before You with my worries, fears, and anxious thoughts. Your Word says not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation to bring everything to You in prayer. Today, I choose to trust You.
Lord, calm my mind and fill my heart with Your perfect peace. Replace my fear with faith, my uncertainty with confidence, and my weakness with Your strength. Remind me that You are always with me, guiding every step I take.
Help me to rest in Your promises and remember that nothing is too difficult for You. Give me wisdom for today, hope for tomorrow, and courage to face every challenge. Let Your love drive out all fear and surround me with Your comfort.
Thank You for being my refuge, my protector, and my source of peace. I place my life in Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for my good.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; And in the night season, and am not silent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in thee: They trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not confounded. But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people. All they that see me laugh me to scorn: They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: Let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. But thou art he that took me out of the womb: Thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: Thou art my God from my mother's belly. Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted in the midst of my bowels. My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed me: The assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: They pierced my hands and my feet. Deliver my soul from the sword; My darling from the power of the dog. Save me from the lion's mouth: For thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; And fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard. My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: They shall praise the LORD that seek him: Your heart shall live for ever. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the LORD's: And he is the governor among the nations. All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: And none can keep alive his own soul. A seed shall serve him; It shall be accounted to the LORD for a generation. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness Unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.”

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.

To grow cotton in a desert, the Soviet Union drained the fourth-largest lake on earth. Then the children near its old shore began being born poisoned.
The Aral Sea sat between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, an inland sea full of fish and ringed by ports. From the 1960s, Soviet planners diverted the two rivers that fed it to irrigate cotton, a crop with no business in a desert.
The sea fell fast. Within thirty years it had lost over ninety per cent of its water and broken into salty remnants. Salinity climbed past the ocean's, and the fish died off, species by species.
Moynaq, once home to tens of thousands of fishermen, now sits a hundred miles from water, its harbour a field of rusting trawlers.
Then the seabed turned on the people. Cotton is the most chemically drenched crop on earth, and decades of pesticide and defoliant had settled on the sea floor. The wind lifts that dry crust, salt laced with DDT, into the lungs of everyone downwind.
Around the old shore, throat cancer runs at twenty-five times the global rate. Tuberculosis, anaemia and kidney disease are everywhere. Infant mortality is among the worst on the planet, birth defects keep climbing, and mothers are warned not to breastfeed, because the poison comes through in their milk. People call it a Chernobyl you can walk into. All of it, to grow a plant for cloth.
Now hold that against the fibre we are taught to feel guilty about. Wool grows on a sheep on a Welsh hillside in the rain, cropping grass off land too steep to ever plough. It asks for no irrigation, only weather. The sheep grows the fleece back every year, and when the jumper wears through it rots back into the soil.
Cotton, the plant, drank a sea dry and salted a region's children. Wool, the animal, takes only grass and rain and hands the ground something back. Next time you are told the ethical wardrobe is plants and never animals, point east, to the boats lying in the dust where a sea used to be.

EMPLOYEE NOTICE
Due to the current financial situation caused by the fuel crisis and the slowdown in the economy, the Government has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early, mandatory retirement, thus creating jobs and reducing unemployment.
This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).
Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to the Government to be considered for the SHAFT program (Special Help After Forced Termination).
Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (System Covering Retired-Early Workers).
A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as the Government deems appropriate.
Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependents & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).
Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by the Government.
Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. The Government has always prided themselves on the amount of SHIT they give our citizens.
Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring this to the attention of your MP, who has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.
Sincerely,
The Committee for Economic Value of Individual Lives (E.V.I.L.)
PS - Due to the Virus, recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, The Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.

What the media won’t tell you: this woman was BANNED from our country for 10 years for violating terms of her visa.
Here are the facts:
Karen Newton has violated the laws of our nation, and overstayed her visa waiver admission for almost FOUR years after visiting her spouse. Her husband, William Newton ALSO broke the law for nearly 20 years by overstaying an H-1B visa.
The Biden Administration granted her a tourist visa, and she traveled to the U.S. under this visa and was let into our nation.
When she and her husband attempted to cross the Canadian border, they did not have proper paperwork for their vehicle and were denied entry into Canada. During her inspection re-entering the U.S., she was unable to provide clear details about her situation, including her husband’s legal status.
Given her history of overstays, her husband’s unlawful presence, and the vehicle documentation issues, officers determined scrutiny and detention were warranted under the law and she was detained.

The BBC just released a new adaptation of Lord of the Flies, the classic novel by William Golding. It's beautifully made, but it's still telling the wrong story.
A few years ago, I went looking for the *real* Lord of the Flies. I wanted to know: has it ever actually happened? Have kids ever been shipwrecked on a deserted island?
It took me a year of research, but I found it. In 1965, six boys from a boarding school in Tonga stole a boat, got caught in a storm, and drifted for eight days without food or water. They washed up on 'Ata, a remote, uninhabited island in the Pacific. They stayed there for 15 months, and what happened on that island was the exact opposite of William Golding's novel.
These boys set up a small commune. They built a food garden, stored rainwater in hollowed-out tree trunks, created a gym with improvised weights, and built a badminton court. One of them, Stephen (who would later become an engineer) managed to start a fire using two sticks. They kept it burning the entire time.
Of course they fought too. But then they argued, they had a rule: go to opposite ends of the island, cool down, then come back and apologize. As one of them told me: ‘That's how we stayed friends.’
Back home, everyone assumed that the boys – Luke, Stephen, Sione, David, Kolo and Mano — were dead. When they were finally discovered by an Australian captain named Peter Warner, he radioed their names to Tonga. After twenty minutes, a tearful response came back: ‘You found them! These boys have been given up for dead. Funerals have been held. If it's them, this is a miracle!’
Peter commissioned a new ship, hired all six boys as his crew, and named the boat the Ata, after the island where he found them. They remained friends for the rest of their lives – Peter and Mano even became soulmates. I tracked them down, and it became one of the central chapters of my book Humankind.
Here's what struck me most: William Golding (the author of Lord of the Flies) was a troubled man, an alcoholic who once said ‘I have always understood the Nazis, because I am of that sort by nature.’ I think he was projecting his own darkness onto children. And we turned it into a lesson about human nature that we teach to millions of kids around the world.
I think the real lesson is the opposite. When real children found themselves alone on a real island, they didn't descend into savagery. They cooperated, they took care of each other, they survived.
I'm not saying that the Tongan castaways were representative of all kids everywhere. But I am saying that every kid who has to read or watch the fictional Lord of the Flies also deserves to know what actually happened when it played out in real life.
Stories are never just stories. We become the stories that we tell ourselves.

We will never not be fixated on it. The children deserve this to be a full scale effort from all of humanity, left/right/man/woman … why are people still acting like this isn’t a humanity crisis??
Misconduct in public office is a UK common law offence with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, per the Crown Prosecution Service and Law Commission. Actual sentences depend on case details and severity, often involving fines or shorter terms, as seen in reports from Sky News and The Independent.

that program. Who figured!?! The process started with a union rep monitoring the class where she found the prof did not know the material nor could he explain it. The prof did not like this scrutiny at all and still could not stop verbally abusing the students with the union rep
She was married to a middle eastern man in the US. She was broken by what happened to her. She felt she had no where to go as she could not return to her family nor her husband as she was damaged. I don't know what happened to her but I know I helped stopped the assaults.
