Imagine Cormac McCarthy getting the manuscript of his final novel back from his Millennial editor at Knopf and seeing all these hearts scribbled in the margins of the passage where Alicia Western hangs herself. He must’ve been so confused.

A clip I hadn't seen: Looney Tunes director Chuck Jones talking about how Warner Bros. destroyed the original drawings and cels from the classic cartoons. A truly insane crime against art.

James Cameron had already seen more than 20 actors for the role of Gib in movie True Lies. Tom Arnold’s agent got him a meeting, but Tom expected nothing and barely prepared. Cameron had him read, then brought Schwarzenegger in. The chemistry was immediate. Cameron decided Tom was perfect.
Fox hated the idea. Tom was in the middle of a very public divorce from Roseanne Barr and the studio saw him as a risk. When Cameron announced the casting they said it was terrible. Cameron said he didn’t read the tabloids, he wrote the character, and Tom was his choice. When they still refused, he threatened to take the movie to another studio. Fox backed down. Tom got the role.

ELI5: Moderna made a cancer vaccine that is custom for every person.
Doctors read the DNA of your tumor, find what makes it unique, then make an mRNA shot that teaches your immune system, “Attack cells that look like this.”
They combine it with Keytruda, a drug that helps stop cancer from hiding from your immune system.
It just succeeded in a Phase 3 melanoma trial.
Not a cure for all cancer. But a pretty huge idea if it works for other cancers too.
BREAKING: Moderna stock, $MRNA, surges over +110% after announcing the first ever positive Phase 3 results for a personalized cancer vaccine.

My cat has 2 lap settings:
1. You attempted to lift your leg, but I am the weight of 10,000 dying suns, & I will not be disturbed. You will perish here.
2. You moved your ankle 1/10000th of an inch. I am leaving immediately. You've offended not only me but my ancestors.
